Hi Parents,
This topic/question may not be new to this group, but on Day 2 of dropping my girl off at St Nicks, I’m amazed how bad the traffic built up outside the carpark 26 (gate 3) and main gate 1 drop off. I had to drop my #1 at RGS, before driving to drop #2 at St Nicks. Today, my car reached around blk 256 stretch around 7am and was stuck there for 15 mins with no chance of turning into carpark or st 13 (both gates). In the end, my girl dropped off along the street and walked to school. Sorry for the long story above, but I’ll like to enquire from experienced parents of St nicks here, at what time does the traffic outside actually start building up? 645am? 650am?
TIA, appreciate sharing. -

7am is too late, traffic is usually already built up by 0650 and gets worse exponentially.
My daily aim is to reach Avenue 4 (for Gate 1/3) by 0640/0645 so that the wait to turn to St 13. -

You can drop your daughter off at Ave 2 gate.
Many cars use St 13 gate because parents prefer to drop off ther pri school girls in the school compound. But for sec sch girls, I think it is alright to drop them off at Ave 2 gate where you dont get to turn in, but stop along the road instead.
A friend of mine drops the SN first then the RG. But I understand it can differ depending on where you live. -
Thanks parents. Is there an overhead bridge from other side of road at Ave 2 to get across to gate 2?
Well… since I come from south rather than north. -
There’s a traffic light to cross the road from the bus stop.

Super big thanks! I just drove there to reece during lunch break .. drove to Ave 2 (gate 2), and yes , traffic light to cross the road, which makes it easy.

May I also check if the Ave 2 road will be as congested as the other 2 gates access? -
I dropped off at Gate 2 this morning at 6.50am. AMK Street 13 was jammed already. AMK Ave 2 was v clear. I was the only car dropping off then. Could be the timing due to traffic lights. But definitely try to drop off by 6.45am would be advisable.

Ave 2 is usually ok because it is a straight road, they alight and the car moves off. So even if there are many cars, it is a moving queue.

There is normally a staff stationed at the traffic light to ensure road safety and safe distancing. -
Thank you everyone! really appreciate all your prompt sharing and advice.

Sorry to hear about that.
Sorry, my dd in sec 1 this year and yet to purchase the sch uniforms. Call n email shanghai uniform to no avail, no slots for ubi outlet, sch vendor no reply n call back on my reservations of uniform. How shld I proceed from here? Gal wore her pri uniform today
MOE said that schools will work closely with their vendors to ensure that students can buy their school uniforms as soon as possible, and facilitate the sale of uniforms in school.
Please check with the school bookshop or form teacher on the arrangement. Has your DD bought the school PE attire? If not, check with the school bookshop if it sells the PE attire. Apart from primary school uniforms, MOE also allows students to report in PE attire during this period.
All the best.
