DH’s colleague was put on QO after TT token showed that she (and her mother) sat near to a confirmed case at a coffeeshop . However, her mother who was sitting next to her, wasn’t given a QO because the mother did not bring her TT token to the coffeeshop ! :scratchhead:

And because this colleague is now on QO, 10 colleagues who came into contact with her were put on LOA. The office is suddenly short of 11 pax manpower.
There is no check in required at coffee shops leh. So does that mean her TT token can actually reveal geolocation data like that coffee shop?

And I wonder how long (and how near) u need to be sitting near to a case in order for MOH to put you on QO.

Don’t think TT token reveal the geolocation data of that coffeeshop. That colleague was called up by MOH that her TT token “communicated” with the confirmed case’s TT token. She then revealed that the coffeeshop was the only place she went with her mum that day.

I am more concerned why only this colleague was given QO but her mum wasn’t just because she didn’t bring her TT token out with her, lol.

I think it was 20 mins period and seated within few meters. If the B1617 variant is more transmissible/infectious and can transmit within 5-10mins, then our TT token cannot work cos it is hardwired/fixed at 20mins?

Wonder if there will be any announcements since its reaching the 2 week mark of the circuit breaker to prolong, make it even stricter or loosen up? Hmmm
My guess is to extend 2 more weeks (at least), till we see single digit new cases per day.

With aggressive testings and ring fencing, the situation is not so scary. The cases did not shoot up.

Since this colleague was called up for swab test, thought is not just she 1 person alone go for swab test, but include the entire family house hold as well ?

Entire family household include her husband, kids, assuming that this colleague is married, have kids.

If her mother is staying inside the same household, then her mom also need to go for swab test

Like this, jialut ! How to work ?

              All of a sudden,
if 10 colleagues asked to go on LOA just because one colleague is on QO, then how is the company going to operate ?

QO (Quarantine Order) : usually 14 days

LOA (leave of absence) : how long ? Also 14 days ?

Then during these 14 days, who is going to work when these colleagues not around ?

I recall the announcement said there would be a review at the mid-point, which would be this Sunday (30 May). Unless the new cases drop a lot by then, my guess is that this Phase 2 Heightened Alert phase (they are careful to say this is NOT a circuit breaker!) will be extended another couple of weeks.

Depends on the arrangement with the employer I guess. I doubt any HR has updated their policy to cater to Covid times. Neither have unions negotiated any rights for employees. All too busy with other stuff.
