if after my child reject the course through eae, can he still apply for the same course under jae?

Yes, as long as he meets the course cut off point and the minimum marks required for certain subjects.

thanks vividlaurel.
not sure why his teacher said otherwise. teacher said if he rejected the course, he cannot reapply for that course under jae
i cannot seem to find this info anywhere. -

But why would you want to reject the course under EAE and then reapply again under JAE? Unless you are hoping for better grades to qualify for a better course…
thanks vividlaurel.

Maybe because the teachers don't want students to reject EAE offers. These are usually difficult to get, especially for some courses

coz my child hopes to do better grades for O level to apply to another course under jae.
and eae offer is still a conditional offer after all.
and he plans that his choices under jae will include the course he hopes to get in and the course he rejects during eae.
will his ranking of choices under jae affect his probability of what he get into? or is it based on merit of O level results? -

From what I know it's based on merit (minus CCA points), followed by the order of choices. So someone with a lower net score than your son may be considered before him, even if his ranking of the course is higher than that other person. Hope this helps

Hi, I am asking around for my daughter who has just finished Sec 3 this year and contemplating of a Poly course after her OP. She is thinking of TP, NP, or SP.
At the same time, the courses she has in mind are :
(a) Maritime studies
(b) Life science
Applied science
(d) Chinese media and communications
(e) Chemical engineering
(f) Psychology
The Polys and courses are not in order of priority.
Are there parents or children who have taken any of these courses or studied in any of these Polys ?
Thanks for your advice in advance. -

Sorry to say, these courses are all over the place. You have probably quoted every possible options except Business and Design :siam:

It's probably better to start off with narrowing down the options... what are the fields / specialisation she is interested in, what are her strengths (academically), etc.
