Thank you 😊. We are staying at the North so it quite far us to travel to TjC . Actually we have the same concern for VS too.😅

Hi and congrats. I think either is fine from a risk perspective; #4-#6 or #5-#6 are likely to catch him (if not CHS O).
I'm not sure exactly where you are staying but RVHS and TJC are two other IP options (AL9(D) and AL9 respectively). Roughly speaking, I'd assume TJC is not that much more difficult logistically than DHS or VS but that may not be the case (take note, TJC will also move from 2024-2027 to 2 Tampines Avenue 9).
Good luck, hopefully he will get CHS IP! -

Reverse engineering... Looks like insufficient information to correct samples biased.
Why is AL9 and AL10 number so high?
* AL4 - AL8 has been corrected to total 10% by linear interpolation
* AL9 - AL20 has been corrected to total 58.4% by linear extrapolation
* So is AL21-24 & AL25-30 to national % of NT & NA.
Thats why you see large jump at AL9, AL21, AL25..
There isn't enough information to correct distribution due to statistical bias in AL9 - AL20 grouping. -

Yes, that's what I did.

Hi all, my dd scored AL8(M) and would like to make the following choices. Would like some invaluable inputs if it’s plausible/ too risky, etc.
1. SNGS OP (8M)
2. SCGS IP (8)
3. SCGS OP (9)
4. Cedar IP (8)
5. Cedar OP (9)
6. Nan Chiau (11)
Thank you for your advice

Hi to all, tonight we are going to do our submission on sch choices…
Previously i have also sought some advice from another thread on some sch info for my son. Great info were given, and from there we come up with this list and for any advice whether this list is deem suitable for us.
We live at north area, son achieved AL 8.
1) Cath High O level (9M)
2) Maris Stella High (12)
3) Chung Cheng Yishun (11)
4). Yishun Town (13)
5) Kuo Chuan Presbyterian (13)
6). Presbyterian High(13)
Technically, we are betting on 1st - 3rd choices only, but i would like to highlight that it is not 4th - 6th choice is anyhow choose but is out of the AL 8 score, sch in term of proximity, it is the next best/ nearest to us if we can’t get 1st - 3rd choices.
Based on AL8, let says if son is not chosen for either Cath High and Maris Stella High(like very popular as heard/see in the threads that there seem to be a lot of A6/7/8(with HCL somemore) are choosing them or lower safety choice for their other choices), and knowing merit score come in play … so we are praying should minimally get Chung Cheng Yishun right based on merit scoring too right … unless a lot of same AL8 put as 1st and 2nd choice in Chung Cheng Yishun … Any kind souls can advice me that is this thinking correct or wrong…
Also can i ask on any views on Cath High O lvl (9M) we choose as 1st choice(heard from some sharing, seem that Cath High only take in 20% non-affiliated which is around 30 only based on their intake yearly about 150 for Express and IP cohort respectively. The rest are all their affiliated student.), as mentioned above on AL6/7/8(HCL) vying too…is it too ambitious or we should give up so that chance is higher for next 2 choices in case tie breaker after citizenship , choices come next?
Apology for being draggy, but would really like to hear and seek more advice before we make our final decision. Thank you. -

I think in your choice order, it is wasting your options #5/6. Does he prefer RV over dhs/acs? Or this,
Hi Zeal mummy, his dream school is HCI. You think the choice order is ok?

Considering last year’s data, if it’s accurate for this year,… Your son will be posted to your #1 choice CHS o-levels. Your safety net is MSHS.

You should not be overly concerned that affiliation spots would affect your posting, they don’t. The COP has already accounted for that.
