      Hi parents, can I check if the science syllabus is the same for IP kids? Also, would you all be able to share the shoes requirements for st nic’s girls? Thanks!

        I suppose you mean between mainstream and IP.
        And I also suppose
        IP= academics + aptitude
        Main stream= academics

        Since science is under academic, and ultimately both IP and mainstream have the same syllabus for A level exam, science syllabus should be the same for both as far as preparation for A level is concern?

        Maybe before A level, IP and main stream have slightly different milestone measurement (syllabus) : IP no O level/common exam; mainstream has that

          Yes, ultimately both IP and mainstream have the same academic syllabus for A level exam.

          For schools with dual-track, I think the IP and OP academic syllabus for Year 1 and Year 2 should be the same to facilitate any transfer between the IP/OP tracks at Year 3. E.g. some OP students can transfer to IP at Year 3 if their results are good, if they want to and if they pass the interview. I know that the IP and OP syllabus as far as academics is concerned is the same in CHS, I believe that it should be the same in SNGS?
          In IP schools with no dual track, the academic syllabus might be different, and students might be taught science and maths topics that are usually covered in Sec 3 and Sec 4 syllabus in OP track schools. To clarify, this does not mean that IP programme in schools with no dual track is "accelerated" compared to that in dual track IP schools. This just means that the sequence of topics being taught does not have to follow the usual OP sequence, and there is flexibility to teach Sec 3/4 topics in Year 1/2, and Sec 1/2 topics later.

            IP SNGS and OP SNGS is a bit different, as I have seen their test/exam papers.

            Though by the end of Sec 2, both should be the same. “Should” because I did not compare all the papers against a topic content page to determine if every topic has been covered at one time or another before the end of Sec 2.

            Both IP and OP in sngs do more than the regular OP by sec 2. They cover some upper sec topics in lower sec. Info correct as of a few years ago.
