      For the sake of discussion:

I will not be wrong if I have the concern and also raise it, that I fear students in same gender school may develop into les and gay? So there should not be same gender school because this is a reasonable concern?
      ...
I believe homosexuality persists even in coed schools.

For sec sch, it could be helpful when their traits and talents are more distinctly different. More resources can be used to develop them to cater to their needs.

For pri sch level, i find co ed is more helpful for them to recognise differences as foundation building.

However, in coed pri sch, when general boys are still catching up, there is concern that teachers and sch gear towards the girls as they outshine the general boys.
In my kid sch, more girls are outstanding than boys, so when the nominated students go on stage, you can see lopsided if not handled well. But there also mean that from girls perspective or their parents, the general boys may received some lenient treatment.
what about those boys in the neighbourhood coed school right? Should their parents be concern about being outshines?

Thats why there are options, and parents can make choices within their means. No perfect one single solution. Up to individual 's capacity and priorities.

It may not be their priorities then or no such concern cos the boys are smart or talented.

For existing alumni I don’t think the option of boys and girls same Sch is appealing. For most they can afford to stay near barker road and scgs pri is just next door. No problem getting both Ah boy and Ah girl enrolled in both schools. If GEP doesn’t go to ACS T, will it then become a poorer cousin to ACSJ in time to
            Come
(I am assuming alumni of either ACSP or ACSJ can enrol freely into either Sch and will
            Continue to enrol into ACSJ).
Ya, it will become a “poor relative” of sorts of ACSJ.
I doubt ACSJ P3s selected into GEP would want to switch to ACSP in Tengah. They might as well remain in ACSJ mainstream. Just like MGS Pri offering Sophia Blackmore Academy for those selected into GEP but who choose to remain at MGS.

There are 11 CHIJ convent schools and they are of different tiers in parents’ hearts. Next time ACS will also have a tier 1 and tier 2 segregation in parents’ hearts too. It will never be the same because of the location. ACSP in Tengah will be severely disadvantaged.

If we look at River Valley High School, had the school remained at where its name suggested, River Valley Road in District 9, and not Boon Lay, I guess the COP for IP would be an AL6 instead of AL9.

That’s why girls go for older guys.

The gender makeup for ACJS and ACSP T will be quite disparaging for Sch selection as well. Will it end up like a CCHM (SAP) and CCHY (non-SAP) and I do have friends staying in Yishun rather traveling to cCHM than CCHY downstairs.

MGS has removed SBA prog, for pri and sec schs.

                    1. Because some of you KSPs many years ago gave MOE this idea of diversifying and geographical branching, and you were one of them! 😆

2.1 I think there were many heritage schools that were relocated to new towns under the old URA Master Plans! Wasn't ATS one of them? 😂

2.2 Single to co-ed schools. Historically, a lot leh! So many...Chong Fu (the one beside Thian Hock Keng Temple), Nan Hua, Zhong Hua, SJI IB...

3.1 That ACS is an elite school, I recall in 2014, they opened a new branch that caters to SPED. There will be more SPEDs this time round. As a mission school, I suppose their mission is to be inclusive and expand to cater to their growing flock who want their offspring to be nurtured in a certain environment. If they have the muscle and the money, I don't see why they can't expand island-wide like our enrichment centres!

3.2 Quite a few elite schools shifted to HDB estates, as some KSPs have pointed out. Some neighbourhood schools were given the GEP golden mark before, e.g. HPPS. I guess MOE has to look at the TFR, the evolving MOE master plan and future manpower needs. If the emphasis has shifted, maybe they see no reason in growing the existing no of GEP centres? I think it's ok to shift one to Tengah, cos the west already has HPPS and NYPS.

                      \"Fake news\".

ACSP is the first school to move. First school to change to co-ed.
You never hear of other petitions right? So, they must be a figment of our imagination.
                      😉

RI and RGS are in Bishan their COP are AL6 which is lower than other IP schools along Bukit Timah.

So your theory prime location = higher academics standards doesn't really hold.

If dist can product good result than acs affiliation cop wouldnt be that high right?
