congrats on the wl & co. in your dd's case; would it then be to submit:
This has been one roller coaster ride for us. We have got all 3, rejection, WL & CO. The WL is my girl's 1st choice but now she is having 2nd thought to exercise it as she said she feels like she's not good enough and is a back up. She is now in a dilemma if she wants to exercise her WL or just accept the CO.
1st Choice WL
2nd Choice CO ?
also, your wl/co from acad domain? -

Understand your daughter's feeling.
This is DSA school submission preference. Hence you can only submit your choices which is CO and WL.
If you want RGS, then you have to consider giving up your CO and using academic result to go in.

Yesterday we received a rejection letter from 1 school, which we are quite confident of receiving the CO. Fortunately for us, the rejection came from her 2nd choice. There is no \"happy problem\" for us. Although it is a second choice, but somehow see the rejection email feel a bit....sad and make me thinking what went wrong? We went through everything and feels good.
Thinking from the other side, received rejection letter means no regret on choosing the other school over this in future
And it makes us more appreciate to the school that give us a CO.

Totally understand your sentiment. We also received our rejection from one school. Quite deflated to be honest despite everyone saying \"don't worry\" .

My dd rejection is from a school which we are rather confident whereby the WL is from a school we have the least hope.
The acad domain is not an issue here as both the same. My dd DSA is for sport. WL school has a very strong culture in that sport and in my view, understand about the sport and is doing the right thing to support their athlete students. However, the school is far from our place and my girl acad is not strong hence worry if she will struggle there. I did check with her tutor and school teacher. They said they believe she will do fine there.
Whereby the CO comes from a school nearer to my house and overall a better fit for my dd. However, in terms of supporting their athlete students, I feel that they lacking. The trade off for this school is that my dd has to spend 2 additional hours each week (About 3-4hours in total including travelling) on top of what she is already doing for her sport as the school requirement.
The aim for DSA is to continue my dd passion. Hence we are happy to go to either school. Our headache is if we want to
put the WL as 1st choice or just forgo it to go direct to the CO school. -
Hi CoolSotongMom,
1) go for the DSA school that’s closest to where your child stay. Travelling time is very important. If not, your child will be tired everyday, just by travelling to and fro.
2) choose the DSA school, which your child is confident of handling the academic rigor. Don’t choose the wrong one, where she feel stressed up, because Sports commitment is not easy.
The DSA school will hold u ransom to it, once u accept their CO or got your Wait list converted. -

Could you share the names of the CO and WL schools? Maybe parents with in depth knowledge of these schools may then provide more info you may not yet know, to help you to decide

My DD was in the exact situation as yours last year. Sports domain, received all 3 different outcomes and average in acad. The rejected school was also one that we were confident in and the nearest to home.

She eventually placed the WL school as first ranking as it was her initial first choice, and it was the furthest away from school. 🤭 She was very grateful for the CO school too, but the distance was just 4 MRT stops less than first choice. Both schools had its merits. We discussed to great lengths about the rankings.
Her WL was eventually converted, she worked hard for her PSLE after that and she managed to achieve the min COP of the school.
She is pretty happy in school now excluding the distance. 🤭 -
Seems like scgs results really down to the wire this year.

Dunman high snail mail received. DD got WL for PA. Anyone knows approx conversion rate for DHS WL? Thanks

Would you tell your child if received CO from DSA?
Will it affect them from concentrating in PSLE ? Would like to hear parents thoughts…
