[/quote]so my gal and ur son will become classmates..thats great..we can keep each other updated in future
i met Ms Soo and Ms Claudine and they told me they are from Perform at Junoir. But i did not meet the teachers from N1 class. When i went to view the sch, i went up to N1 class at 2nd level and saw two teachers in the class. Overall, i find that the kids look happy and participative and there isn't any screamings from the teachers(or is it becos i am there?)
I have heard good reviews from both schs(PR and Perform at Junoir) and i am surprised that their fees are quite affordable as compared to this branded childcare.
I guess my gal needs long time to settle..she is those very shy type and i hope the speech&drama component can \"open\" her up
My son also a very shy type. He also took 1 more month to settle even though he know some of the teacher before.
but he can sing or dance in front of all parent now.
Ms Su is N1 English teacher, she is one of PJP teacher. She is a very experience teacher and good in speech & drama. Their chinese teacher is existing PR teacher. She also quite good in speech & drama. -
hi, can anyone advise me whether ‘Little Friends learning centre’ in admiraty is good for my son to enroll for playgroup?
thanks! -
my gal attended her very first lesson in Phyllis Riccia today.
Although she is crying even i am ard… i am very pleased to say that the sch environment is very good.
I saw the children rehearsing for national day and they are really full of confidence. and the teachers also dance with energy.
I can sense a great difference in the level of languagues (eng & chinese) between PR and my gal ex-childcare.
Foodwise, i think it is just average…but at least it is cooked by aunties and not catered from outside.
As for the showering, the teacher is really very quick in their actions and i like it that they shower the kids individually instead of "production line style.
The only concern is that the kids need to carry their backpack to/fro the classrooms on the 2nd level. i hope my gal can handle her heavy bag. -
Hi lala81,
my kids also join PR yesterday. They r still tryg to get use to the enviro n teacher
Hope to see u around the sch. -
Just want to let everyone knows, I post this fact for reference only. Hopefully no one get offended by this. I went to PR (Phyllis Riccia) first time for enquiry, saw a big rat running on the backyard. However, I meet the classroom teacher was very nice (Ms. Soo). I decided the fact there was a rat (yes, I’ve told Ms. Claudine), as long as my kid is in good hand, it’ll be ok. However, that was just the beginning.
I enrolled my son there, first day of school I joined the assembly with the teachers and kids, everyone was very happy there, however the floor was dirty. Sands.
and then there was this man, shouting at the kids for them to be quiet. I have no idea who that man was.
On third day he came home with fever and rashes soon covered his body, arms and leg, some on his face as well. Went to see doctor, doc said it was rubella. (he got all his jab completed), doc said jab only protect 99%. He was out of the school for a week.
After he was recover, send him back to school. He came home with rashes on his hand and leg. After a day, I saw his red rashes bumps becomes swollen at one point. I guess he was bitten by something and the teacher / assistant didn’t even notice.
I decided to pull him out of the school.
I noticed they got big pile of trash right beside the window outside of the N1-A classroom. (yes, pile of trash)
So mommy, please be vigilant. -
2littlekids,

hi lala,
the one I saw was shouting at the kids was actually an indian and another guy was chinese wearing a specs. I’m also puzzled as they’re always at the school (the 3 times I was there). -
Hi Mummy
There is no perfect childcare. I quite satisfy with thier teacher & environment.
I think the most important is our child feel happy in the sch.
My son in N1 class also.
Tomorrow I will join their mini NDP. My son is very shy type child, but only 3 months he dare to perform in front of all parents. -
tuang,
i agree that there is no perfect childcare…i just hope that my gal is happy and have more self confidence.
when i sat in during the first day, i am very impressed by the kids rehearsing for the national day parade… i am also very curious how the celebration will be like.i will be going ard 6.30 pm as i gotta work.
today just received a consent form for outing to HPB Board…is ur boy going? i asked my gal but she says she dont want to go… maybe she is not used to the new environment yet and nvr been to excursion before. so this time round,i respect her decision. -

Did u see their performance yesterday? For n1 class even though they were not perform very well but they gave them a chance to stand in front people to train their self confidence.
I didn't ask my son whether want to join their outing. I just sign the form. Normally they will very excited when they go outing. I suggest u to accompany her the fist few time. When she used to the environment then u can let her go with teacher. There are few times to go outing every year in \"PR\". I like it. Because our child can learn something from the experience of outing.
