Parents: Looking for an Easier, More Affordable Way to Get Your Kids to School?
-
Are you tired of the high costs, early pickup times, or limited availability of the school bus? Or perhaps you’re a parent with a car, driving your child to school with spare seats? We’ve got a solution that benefits both!
We’re exploring interest in a new Parent Ride-Share Matching Service, designed to connect parents in your school community. Whether your child currently takes the bus, or you have room in your car for another student, this service makes it easy to find the right match.
For parents without a car:
- Save on transportation costs: Find a more affordable option than the school bus.
- More convenient timing: Avoid the early-morning rush of school bus schedules.
- Community connection: Have peace of mind knowing your child is riding with trusted families from your school.
For parents with a car:
- Build school spirit: Help out fellow parents and make your car rides more meaningful by building friendships across school levels.
- Social benefits for your child: Encourage your child to make new friends while commuting together.
- Give back: Be part of a community-driven solution while filling those empty seats!
In order to cover verification and ensure that all participants are trusted members of the school community, this service will most likely come with a fee, or free with paid features. The details are still in the works.
If you’re interested, let us know! The response from this announcement will help determine which schools we launch in first. Help shape the future of this initiative and bring this service to your school!

This is an interesting idea and concept, but not sure how viable it would be particularly if you’re targeting Primary School students.
Even if these parents are part of the school community, I personally would not allow my child at this age to take a ride from another parent who I have not met before.
Perhaps this could work for secondary school or Junior College students.

Interesting, didn’t think secondary school students will want to use this service. If there’s demand on secondary side will definitely extend!
We’ve done up a mock up which you can see at https://www.facebook.com/share/p/dyq3FHrvACeCVHas/
If there’s traction and demand then can probably put more resources into developing this project!
