Congratulations to all parents with children that recently collected their PSLE results! Just sharing with everyone, I recently chanced upon a tuition centre providing very affordable secondary school tuition, at only $30 per lesson. Might be worth checking out given the extremely high prices that most places charge these days.

RE: Secondary Choosing
@ThomasHsu hey, I personally think it’s likely that she will be admitted given her score, all the best!
Separately, I came across a good article that highlights some of the key considerations and next steps when preparing for the transition to secondary school. I thought it’s a good read and is worth checking out.

RE: Parents: Looking for an Easier, More Affordable Way to Get Your Kids to School?
This is an interesting idea and concept, but not sure how viable it would be particularly if you’re targeting Primary School students.
Even if these parents are part of the school community, I personally would not allow my child at this age to take a ride from another parent who I have not met before.
Perhaps this could work for secondary school or Junior College students.

RE: Looking for Home Tutor / Small Group Tuition
Hey, not sure if you’ve already found a suitable tutor already but for your benefit and all other parents out there - I came across a centre that provides very affordable tuition classes at only $30 for a 2 hour lesson.
Should check it out if you’re still looking for one. All the best!

RE: DSA 2024
@lovekmum hey, nope he is not. But I thought it was worth highlighting when I came across it as it seems like a good centre with an interesting concept / proposition - why don’t you contact them to find out more if you’re keen.

RE: Childcare costs
Agree with the above parent / user, I feel there’s no need to overdo it - spend what is comfortable and within your means (e.g. it’s not necessary to send your child for so many different types of classes / lessons or even enrol them into “premium” centres and facilities).
On this note, I recently chanced upon a centre that provides very affordable secondary and junior college tuition starting from only $30 for a 2 hour lesson.
Might be worth checking out if you have children that are at that age / still schooling.

RE: What is your most favorite actitivity to do with your kids?
It’s definitely travelling to new places as well as playing sports such as tennis and badminton. I feel this really helps to connect me with my family and children particularly when we have common interests (e.g. sports)

RE: Newbie setting up a website for the first time
I would recommend wix or squarespace, but shopify might be more appropriate for online sales as mentioned by a fellow parent in the thread.
