Hi everyone who’s new to the KiasuParents forum! If you’re a long-time member exploring the new platform, we’re happy to see you here too

We welcome your questions, tips, and announcements, as long as they are relevant for parents in Singapore. We are not against promotional shares, but please keep it thoughtful and avoid repetitive or purely sales-driven posts. Our aim is to make this a space where parents can exchange useful ideas and start real conversations.
Ready to start posting? Do look for the appropriate section to post in, or check with the KiasuParents team here if you’re not sure!
Just to highlight: our Parent Networking groups are for connecting parents who have children studying in the same school. You’re also free to start groups with those living in the same neighbourhood, carpooling groups, and so on.

If you have a promotional post intended for parents, please look for a more relevant thread instead, thank you!

If you have just posted something, and don’t see your post on our forum, there are a few reasons why:
#1 We’ve deleted your post due to spammy/inappropriate content
#2 You posted multiple times, in non-relevant threads
#3 You posted in an older topic thread — this is a data migration issue on our side, where some older topics are not displaying the complete thread/postsIf you think #3 is the reason that your post has “disappeared,” please let us know here!

We just received a user question on how to edit posts:
Simply click on the three dots at the bottom right of your post, to reveal the menu. You may not be able to see all of the options shown in this screencap, but you can definitely edit or delete your post.
Update 1: For regular users, the default setting for edits is currently 5 seconds. We are speaking to our tech team to increase this window.
Update 2: The forum default setting has been changed — users now have a 24-hour window to edit new posts.

Whenever I try that, I get a message that I can only edit a post within 5 seconds of posting. That effectively means that I’ve never been able to.

@slmkhoo Thanks for letting us know!
Edited to Add: Yes, indeed the current setting for non-admin users is 5 seconds.
Please give us some time to improve this

@thebottomsupblog Thanks! Maybe give us at least 12 to 24 hrs? Sometimes, I only realise I made an error much later, definitely not within a few seconds or even minutes.
On the old board, the poster could edit without any time limits. -
@slmkhoo yes it’s been changed to 24 hours!
