Nan Hua Primary
-
thanks for your reply. i dunno whether to feel lucky or unlucky that my husband is an alumni of Nan Hua Pri. It is indeed a good school with strong academic background. Unfortunately for us, they only offer Chinese as 2nd language. As we are Malays, that is one factor i have to really think abt. I have no problem having my son to learn chinese but am wondering if im being selfish and will he struggle? His current childcare teaches mandarin too but of course it is not intensive enuff to prepare him for primary level. (thats how i felt). I believe he will have high chances to be given a placing in Nan Hua and for that I dun have to do PV (and quit my job). Else, our next option is Rulang Pri in Jurong West (im staying in jln bahar) which also means I have to quit my job and concentrate fully on doing PV in hoping that my son will get a place.
Any kind advice is appreciate. -

Based on old boy status + alumni, I understand that this will qualify as Phrase 2A1. Is there any chance that a Phrase 2A1 will not get a place? quite a shock if it is...
Hi
Yes. There is a very high chance that your son can get in. But I am not very sure about the second one.quickmind:
Hi I am wondering:
My husband graduated from nan hua pri in the 80s.
1. is there a high chance for my son to be given a slot there?
2. and can he choose not to take chinese language (we're malays) and instead learn malay in other school?
Is it possible to work that way?
can someone pls confirm my understanding?
I studied the registration history for phrase 2A. The APP is less 50% for 2006 -2009.
If APP is not >100%, does it mean everyone in this phrase will get a place?
Sorry i need to confirm. Just bought a place in the west to go to NH... also registered as alumni liao.... -
Hi fooblack,
Don’t worry yourself so much. So far there had been no balloting required for phase 2A in any of the schools. So it’s pretty much confirmed that your child will get a place in NH. -

Thanks for the assurance. We will intentionally shift all the way from Seng Kang to study in NH.Hi fooblack,
