I very stressed up now...
My son registers in 2012 and I am already very stressed! Good luck to all parents registering their kids this year under P2B and P2C! -
Hi parents,
I've gone through 2 rounds of registration for my kids - Phase 2B 5 years ago (2006) and Phase 2A2 (2010).
For son's P1 registration at Pei Hwa then, there was just 1 stop - ie to submit documents for verification. No guarantee at Phase 2B, just a high chance of getting in.
Today's registration for daughter is slightly longer - 3 'stops'. Station 1 is at ground floor where a lady will make sure we are eligible for Phase 2A2. If so, then we proceed to the hall on 2nd floor.
Station 2 is to submit documents (both original and photocopied ones). A staff member goes through every document and screens everything like a hawk, never missing any detail. Then she will cross out the child's name in the computerized booklet which consist all the children's names [those born in 2004 to Jan 1 2005]
Station 3 is the last stop where parents will see another member keying in all the info into the MOE computer system. No acknowledgement slips are given. -
Reading what you guys go through and watching the tears of joy and disappointment on TV news during balloting never fails to make me go for the safest best. I stopped toying with the idea of sending my youngest to another school when she goes to P1 in 2012.
GOOD LUCK to those who are going through the process now. -
Reading through all these gives me the perserverence to die die complete my 80hours of PVā¦

Yes, finishing the hours of PV and making it at Phase 2B is BETTER than striking 1st prize 4D. The feeling is fabulous.
JIA YOU. -
So getting into Phase 2B without balloting is like winning TOTO. Hope my to see my Winning TOTO next Thursday.

My experience with last year's registration for my boy was with mixed reactions. I was pretty nervous initially because I was told that the overall intake would be cut by 30 places for that year. By then, I had completed about 80 hours of PV and was expecting a shoo in, based on previous year's statistics, especially when I was within 1 km. Double KS I guess!! But I was just worried how the cut would affect my chances. Then came the judgement day when the whole year's hard work would finally \"bear fruit\". After the whole registration process was completed, I had a little chat with the admin manager who was beaming from ear to ear. Told her about my worries but after she gave a pat on my back and said a few kind words, I was much much relieved!
Those words were......\"If you have been worrying, then your fellow peers in PV would have been having nightmares every night for the past few nights. See you next year!!\"

Good luck to all potential P1 parents!!

withdrawal is immediate. Done via PC connected to MOE computer.
I will be registering my son this Thursday under phase 2B. Due to the uncertainty of balloting as places are limited, my husband and i may need to station at 2 different schools, one to withdraw and the other to register. Could anyone please advice me on what documents are required to withdraw an application made earlier? -
