          HI,

called superland montessori to check out out of curiosity. The lady sounded really nice. Price also very reasonable. If you working, its $550 after the subsidy for a full - day care. The lady told me the capacity is very big that’s why they can afford more students and hence charge cheaper. A place like Bukit Timah will charge more because it is usually in a bungalow like house, smaller capacity and higher rentals.

What I like abt this school is that it is open concept. My son brought back his school assessment books on alternate friday. Every half yearly they have parent teacher meeting. My son joined when he was 17 mths. The principal is a taiwanese but not to worry, the teachers are well trained.

My son has been going to Moral Childcare (the one next to Delta Sport Complex) playgroup for slightly more than a month. And these are my views.

              1. Principal and teachers are very caring.
              2. Its more Chinese based. Although there are several non-Chinese kids including mine.
              3. The kids are always happy.
              4. The kids are well-behaved yet very spontaneous.
              5. Curriculum based I am not very sure since my son has just begin schooling.

                Hi!
I am currently looking for a Kindergarten / Childcare Centre for my boy who will be going to K1 next year. Currently, my boy (half-japanese) is attending Cherie Hearts sch in the north. I would sincerely appreciate it if someone could recommend some of kindergartens / Childcare Centres at Tiong Bahru area.

We will be shifting to Tiong Bahru area sometime end of this year. I understand that there's a newly set-up called Acekids at Tiong Bahru Community Centre but it seems to be quite pricey. Has anyone visited this school?

Many thanks in advance for your help!

                Joyce

If you will be staying nearer to the Redhill side of Tiong Bahru, you might want to consider the recommendations in this http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=107.

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply, Chief! 🙂

I've already noted the childcare centres mentioned in the thread that you have kindly hi-lighted in your reply prior to posting my query. 🙂 If possible, centres / kindergartens near Tiong Bahru MRT station will work better for me so that it's within walking distance for my helper to pick up my son should I not be able to pick him up from school in time. We'll be residing in Kim Tian Road area, therefore, if possible, walking distance in this area will be best.

Nevertheless, thanks a lot, Chief! 😄

I am looking for a kindergarden for my girl who will be in K1 next year. Her current school has a high staff turnover which is really disturbing cos by the time we get to know the new teachers better, the next thing we know is they are leaving. We are staying in Jln Bt Merah, opp Kim Tian Road. Would anyone be able to share if there are any good Kindergardens around?
