RRMummy:
Hi Jedamum, thanks for redirecting. Sorry for it too.. I was hoping by posting a new title I would be able to get some feedback. Noticed before that when I sent an enquiry to the that thread, but no replies.. :?:
if you are wondering which schools are 'better', you can see which school is more popular from the poll at the thread, cos somehow we people seems to associate 'better' with 'limited vacancies'
RRMummy:
I am very new with PV stuff too.In a limbo now as the school I'm trying to PV for haven't committed if I get a chance to PV or not.. and my gal already in K1... :!: so now need to look for backup plan...
you personally have such experience? TIA
You have 3 mths for the sch to get back to you before the pv application thingy ends for your batch. As some one at the http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=269&start=0 commented that we can increase our chances by applying for more than 1 school at any one time, maybe you can start from here as time is running out.
i had only 1 P1 registration experience so far. didnt do pv. hoping to have chance to ballot. end up sch reduce intake. no balloting chance. went for second choice. now boy happily settled in school.
dont give yourself too much stress. Good luck! -
I think somehow, to a certain extent, I'm also wondering, very little intake in Phase 2B then overwhelming at Phase 2C (especially neighbourhood school)- could it mean that parents around that estate just opt for the nearest. Then in such case not really reflecting 'better'... :? If good school, I guess many people will fight to get into Phase 2B, right?
Also, wondering and hoping from the parents feedback about what they consider good in their choice school (since each have their own selection criteria), then I can kinda decide if it is suitable for my kid..
I'm a FTWM so not much chance in PV so many places so need to be selective.. furthermore, some of my top considerations already told I'm too late for PV - closed end 2008!! :!: Guess I not KS enough...
So, I'm wondering if I should PV in these schools especially if my current PV (elite school) application fails... Really in a dilemma..
Which school are you PVing for your 2nd child? Also 2010 registration? -
Haiz.. just called PV for Evergreen also closed since Dec 2008.. :stupid:

RRMummy, if ur child is registering in year 2010, official date for PV deadline is 1 Jul 2009. Of coz some schools close their applications earlier esp now already Apr but I believe there are still some around accepting PVs still. Do call up more schools to enquire about it and act fast! U can apply a few schools, but clock the PV hrs in one school eventually. -
Hi Luanee, thanks for the advice. Problem is, we don’t really know whch schools are ‘good’ in woodlands… even considering to move away to west where there are more better schools… very disturbed…

Any parents in Innova? I am staying within 2km of Innova, attracted by the new school and pics I have seen from their webby. Considerations being those schools that are within 1km from me are \"hot\" schools
and i do not like to \"squeeze\" so as to speak.
Like to hear from parents whose kids are in innova.
