I think school is so boring to the majority of our children that they are right when they reply, "Nothing!" The lessons do not spark their curiosity nor engaged them intellectually, socially or emotionally.

          Hi,
I've P1 boy too. He does share with me what he did in school most of the day.

This is what we both do every night. After bedtime story from me, is his turn to share his story with me. He'll go on and on.. ie recess time fun, chinese class hypy competition games and etc... untill to a point I've to say:\"enough of the day, your mind need to rest. Sweet dream..\"

Is rather interesting to hear about his friends character, behavior and \"stories\". We even have a good laugh together at times..

I guess this is what I treasure most after a hard day.

My son also P1 this year, I will tell him what I do every day during the bed time and he will share his with me too.

I had a Meet Parents Session with Lorna Whitson last Sunday. The teacher said is a great way to improve communcation, we can add one more. By asking him to write at least one and two sentence every day then can improve their writing too.

Yes, I share my day in office with my girl. When she was younger, more on colleagues' kids issues. When she is older, more on other complicated matters, eg working relationship, work matters and some gossipings .... πŸ˜„
