Hihi, I am a newbie... And I am posting into a old post

I signed up my P2 son into the Jun 2010 camp.
My kid luv the camp a lot. He even sugggested that he wanted to attend the next one. (well, he says that for most of the camps that I send him to anyway)
Let me recollect.... The contents for the camp in June contains of festival related (making of rice dumpling, ink painting), YOG related (colouring of Leo / Merly), some worksheet (on manners and some stories)
They also gave a T-shirt and my son luv it so much that he wears it ever so often.
I am quite happy with the camp mainly cos of the manners part. But I understand from the receptionist that every camps differs on that piece though.
Do no expect a crash course Chinese program. It is just as its name suggest - a cultural camp. So, it will be quite light in terms of content.
And yup, I will be sending him to the Sep one. -
EgyptianMommy:

Hi,
Any feedback on this? it is very expensive enrichment class by NTU. Any of your kids attended?
Thanks! -
Hi
My two boys Pr 4 and 2 are there. The syballus are very close to MOE requirments. Most of the teachers are ex sch teacher or from china but they must have at least 3 yrs teaching experience in Singapore.
Sch fee abt 300 - 370 depends on level for 10wks lesson. Each lesson last 2 hours -
I think the price is okay.
Berries charges about $400 a term. -
It seem to be cheaper compare to Berries.
As what kaitlynangelica had mentioned, Berries is charging around $400.00 per term and 1hrs 45mins lesson. -
akbh, Berries is not having the MOE requirements?
It is very difficult to park the cars or to drop off? I am thinking of getting my boys to attend the holiday programme before i decide.
Is the holiday programme very different from the weekly enrichment class?
Paiseh.. ask so many questions at one go.

Not the same as the one by NTU. I thought it was a branch too, until I asked the staff there. -
Hi
My boys were with berries since K1. The elder one canβt cope when he was in Pri 3 and drag going to Berries class. After term 1, we pulled him out. The standard in berries are so much higher.
It depends on individual kid, if yours have interest in chinese and able to do well, berries will be a good choice.
