        Refer to http://thinkingmath.com.sg/forum/35-thinkingmathonsponge/5790-how-did-you-do-psle-math-2010.html?limit=10&start=10.

        Ans: 15 min

I see that you have changed the answer for 17 c) to 779.

But what I remember of the series given is that

        1 ---------------------15
        2 ------------------- 20
        3 ------------------- 28
        4 ------------------- 33
        5 -------------------- 41
        6 -------------------- 46

Can anyone confirm this for me ?
How can a P6 student confuse this series with

        1---------------------- 12
        2 --------------------- 20
        3---------------------- 25
        4---------------------- 33
        5 --------------------- 38
        6 --------------------- 46

        :?

What's the question for paper 2 Q3?Anyone remember?
Anyway,I think for paper 2 I got Q17C,Q7 and maybe Q14b wrong only but for Q14b i forgot what's my answer so didnt know if im right or wrong.

Is it the amt. of money she had left question? If so,

          1 - 5/12 = 7/12

          $133.50 x 7/5 = $189.90

            the kiasu student:
This year's Math PSLE was acceptable for pupils weak in maths and easy to pupils who excel in maths. Unlike previous years when parents complain of difficult questions, this year's paper was better. MOE sure did the right thing, with tougher questions at the last part of paper 2.

Thumbs up to MOE this year!
SERIOUSLY!!! As if I don't hate MOE enough! :x Why did they make it easy??!!! I want a hard paper 😢

Is it the area of the quadilateral question? I split it into two right angled triangles. So,

              1/2 x 7 x 9 + 1/2 x 3 x 11 = 48

              Ans: 48cm2

              Hope this helps. 😄

              Thks.

                2 ------------------- 20

                6 -------------------- 46

                Thanks,
Yes, I got the first number in the series wrong, regardless of which the answer is 782.

Yes, based on my visualization of the structure, item 3 should be 28, thereby the CORRECT answer to Q17c is indeed 782.

I am utterly impressed with the kids nowadays, they can summarise almost the whole exam papers a few hours after taking it, :celebrate:

However, the relatively Maths paper is a little unkind to those who excel, as there were NO real difficult questions. DS said he was only able to use algebra once and it was a giveaway ( Q18 ). We should see a lot of A* this year.

Agreed with MOE Hater, the paper should have a few tough questions, as in 2009.

I sincerely believe this year's P6 cohort is one of the best academically in recent years, though the PSLE Tscore may not reflect so ultimately, due to the relatively easy papers so far for English, maths and Chinese. Easy papers raised the Median Score and affects the Standard Deviation substantially.

\"easy paper means lower T score..some parents pray for difficult paper\". Is this true? Heard from expert parents.

if you can get 100/100, how to get low t-score?

In T-score computing, the 'mean' and the SD (Std Deviation) are the key-factors. If so many students score 100/100 or A*, then both 'mean' and 'SD' will be unusually high. In that case, the T-score will be lower.

Innocent students rejoice at the easy Maths paper since their raw scores will be higher. Unfortunately, since T-scores will be lower, I feel there is not much justification for the rejoicing. Finally, it is the T-score that really matters. Is it not?
