I just called up NDC too a few days ago. In the end, I decided to go the the polyclinic for the dental checkup for my son. Maybe u can try there xian_kai?


Waiting time doesn’t seem long. They even offer the next day for his appointment.

Most likely it will cost the adult tooth to be crooked. It certainly happened to me. I was so afraid of extracting my tooth that I refused to go to see a dentist. End up 2 of my lower front teeth are crooked. Something I kinda regretted.

Called up NDC and was surprised that they are now privatsed (as I saw the name and also they are under Sing Health). Charges quite high too. So called up HPB and was told the waiting list is quite long and 1st appointment would be in January.

Now thinking if I should wait till Jan when DS1 goes to P1 and see the school dentist there?

Also, if there are any good dental clinics for kids (affordable rates), please recommend.

NDC is not cheap, even refer by school dentist also not concession or discount. DS has appointment tomorrow for minor operation due to the adult tooth not moving down, need to remove the baby tooth and hang a chain on the adult tooth to allow it to come down and not assure this will work but must give it try. The est cost is $650, luckily is classified as operaton, therefore medisave is allowed.

Like I said before, NDC is no cheaper than private dental clinic


Why pay to wait for appointment date ? and also wait long long on appointment day ?

And then they can suka suka send you a letter to change your appointment date due to "doctors not available" on appointed date - and then you can’t meet the new date … all kinds of craps to me (sorry for the ranting here)

That is scary! How long did it last? Where did she get it done and for how much?

I thought it should last for 3 years... hmm...
