Is it necessary to get a good pair of running shoes for children or any shoe (school shoe) will suffice?
-
I think for running a good pair of shoes help prevent injury/wear and tear of the knee caps bah. Running/climbing around the playground …think kids find it best to go shoeless for max grip?

jedamum you got foresight lor... after a few session of seeing his friends from school take off shoes and testing out on max grip... my active boy will quickly kick off his shoes whenever he steps into playground and become a monkey on the loose. -
my elder boy was also abit overweight, he absolutely don't like vege! he likes computer games u c...so we took him swimming and then skating...he lost some...i don't want him to be taf club when he goes into pri 1.....i find skating good and u can try out the free trial class with http://www.skate-with-us.com...
i'm thinking of yoga and ballet for my girl ...heard there is a school dancepointe like not bad...any comments? -
cardio is your answer. i’m a pe teacher at a pri school and we have like 69 fitness club members (last time taf club) from pri 1 onwards! @-@ that’s quite worrying…so we actually started a programme called skate and trim by a skate school for some kids and a learn to swim programs for other batch really work out great for our kids, u can try…
have fun!
i would like to learn blading too! haha but i think too old…break bones how -

Hello All
I am looking for sport/exercise classes for my dd at nearby locations.
I looked at the Sengkang CC and it seems that all activity-related classes are for much older kids like 5 and above ?
All other activites (dance, gymnastics etc) seemed to be located some distance away and travelling would be a hassle. Hence, tapping resources here if anyone has any suggestions.
Thanks ! -

There are gymnastics classes taking place in Hougang Sports Hall. I do not know the schedule but my girl is attending gym on Sunday between 4pm and 6pm. There are other classes conducted by different gym clubs before and after her lesson too. Thus, you might want to bring your dd there to take a look. -
Thanks Sachiko. Can the public just walk in and take a look ? if not, can I trouble you to share the contacts ?
