School admin staff said letters posted out and we can expect to receive this week or early next week.. not friendly tone (as usual)....

Yes, you can. I brought DS to the sch to buy the uniform & shoes already. DS is very big sized for his age so I hv to get it early and send the uniform for alteration.

Finally received the letter from Nan Chiau today. The letter will indicate which class your kid will be going next year.

Also, cos of the huge crowd i can anticipate on 22 Nov, likely to go down to the school to buy uniforms earlier (next week). Can any parent advise what time the shop open?

I think the opening hours to buy the uni/shoes is 9am-4pm. To be on safe side, better call the vendor to confirm again (Mdm Yeo 6764 3102).

I am also considering if I should send DS up for the 2 courses. Any parents out there can share their feedback if the course is beneficial?

DS' English is ok but had not been exposed to HYPY then. However, we didn't let him attend any of these bcos we prefer him to pay attention during sch so that less chances of him cultivating the fatal \"i know it all\" attitude from Day1. He has no problem w HYPY when taught during Chinese lessons.

On the other hand, some of my friends' kids enjoyed the courses but (according to them) didn't retain much. 1 of them even has to attend remedial English class during Term 1.

I am thinking of sending my son the courses. I called up Miss Yap for the english course and was told children need to sit for a 45 min test on orientation day to ascertain their \"standard\" which will determine where they place the children during the 10-day course. Max size of class is about 20. Those really weak ones may be 1-1 for a while but same fee. Can anyone confirm if there's really a test?

The letter didn't mention about attire for orientation, so can wear anything?

Must we buy books on that? Will it run out if I buy another day? Disappointed that letter never mention how much is each (e.g. books) so that we know how much to bring....
