All About Flashcards

I was wondering, those Digital photo frame around, maybe can use like a computer to flash the words for the children.
That's exactly what I'm using, but you have to be careful. Most photo frames do not have the juice to run either videos such as mpeg or divx at full speeds, and may have audio synch problems, etc. -
Is it? I was thinking of getting this to try out.

Cannot tell how good it is from just a picture description. Why not copy some samples of the movies you want to run on the thing onto an SD card, and bring it down to the shop to test? That is the best way to ensure compatibility before purchase. Try to avoid buying off the web unless you have already seen it operating locally. Is it? I was thinking of getting this to try out.

I am a FTWM and need your advise on how to get things started for my 16 month old baby. My baby gal attended her first lesson last week at Springfield and need advise on how to start home practises..Have some questions in mind and would appreciate anyone can help
1. How many sets of different flash cards to flash to our child? For how long per day? When to stop?
2. Any standard sizes of blank flash card for a 16 month old? Do we need to reduce the size of the flash card when she gets older? If yes, when will that be?
3. For each set of flash cards, how many pieces of cards to be flashed?
4. Do we have to practise flash cards, ESP, speed reading etc all in a day or should we do it alternate day? \\ -
For a start you can flash around 50 to 100 cards. Flashing at an optimal speed of 0.4 sec will be good. Once in the morning, once at night.
You can also start flashing dots card if you have them.
You can play some ESP games daily, should be quite quick. Do eye training exercises. Those should be good for a start.
In all, you should just take around 10min for each session. -
Thanks for your response. really appreciate that.
1. Does that 100 cards at 1 go need to relate to any topic? 1 topic - 100 cards or different topic - 100 cards or no topic at all - 100 cards.
2. If my bb doesnt sit still while i am flashing the card, should i stop and continue later?
3. How to teach maths dot to a 16 mth old bb? -
Usually, you group the same topic into a stack of 10 cards. It can be anything. The purpose is to get the kid used to the fast flashing of the card to get their brain working, not really to let them learn something.
You can keep on flashing even if the kid move around, it is always like that at the start, after awhile, they will be used to it.
I believe there should be a math dots schedule handled out in the parent guide material, just follow the course. The idea is let their brain used to looking at dots and associate them with numbers. -
Thanks phantom.
I tried on my bb the first time, and she can sit there waiting patiently for me to finish all the flashing…despite dropping of the cards, flashing the wrong card etc… hee -

Hi,
I am new to this method.
Can someone advice me, can i conduct my flash card by PC/Laptop?
Is this method equal to physical holding a paper and flash it??
Thanks.
regards, -
I guess the physical holding a paper method is more tried and tested.
Personally, I encounter more difficulties flashing on PC especially in between topics. While I can easily flash about more than 10 sets of cards using the physical method, usually I don’t get pass 5 sets using the computer.
And for the weeks I am flashing on PC, my boy seems to deteriorate in his Shichida class right brain activites. Not too sure if it is because the PC and flash cards difference or because I am flashing less than usual.
However. I find the PC great for Foreign languages and Music related topics. Can play sound files for words I cant pronounce. And can play musical instrument.
