So if my first choice is Nan Hua and i am allocated to my second choice school fu hua, i report to fu hua and hand in the appeal form that i get from nan hua and request to appeal to another school right

          :?:

If I'm not mistaken, you should submit your appeal form to the school at which you are appealing at. So you should submit your appeal form to Nan Hua. Wait for Nan Hua to get back to you regarding your status. If successful, you go to Fu Hua to withdraw and register at Nan Hua. The appeal process should be stated on the respective school.[/quote]we have to hand in physically or via internet

In NJC, boarding is a requirement.

i am also considering putting my son to NJC. But when i read abt Boarding as a requirement, i change my mind. My son is too pampered to be taking care of himself at the age of 13.
Actually boarding is a very good exposure to independence and it was an excellent experience for me since boarding has just ended. Boarding is only for a term a year and for Sec 1, it is in the last term. Me & my friends has totally enjoyed our time in boarding and it was a good preparation for independent learning and teamwork before we actually had our adventure camp at the end of the term.

But of course it does depend on your son's willingness πŸ˜„ I am just sharing my opinion of boarding for parents or students who are interested to know how is it like. And I am looking forward to another term of boarding next year πŸ™‚

probably can but i would suggest Nan Hua as your second choice. your marks is just one mark above the COP for RV

You should stand a very good chance for RVHS. Good Luck!

First you should eliminate the score of which subject yr kid had received tutions or enrichment classes inorder to arrive at the right conclusion. Assuming he/she did not receive any of the above, then base yr decision on his/her inclinations or aptitude. Is your kid reading more scientific bks, love maths or prefers languages, poems etc. Surely you can detect an area that gives yr kid the most important comparative advantage over other kids.

Next you can base your decision on ccas. Which instituition has the most suitable cca. Thirdly, distance is another area you can consider. The last pt is T-score. While there is no difference in their academic standards, a T-score of 270 and above or 262-269 should render a pupil applying to RI/RGS and HCI/NGHS respectively if all other factors are almost equal.
