HihiWe attended the RV Open House 2010 yesterday. Very impressed with the school, the way the students conduct themselves, the programme offered.
Already submitted the 6 choices of schools, RV being the first choice.
I was there too, What is your daughter T-score? -

One of my son's teacher I spoke to told me that COP for this year may go up . This worries me . :?: I need to be careful with my 1st choice..... :?: :?:
why go up since the overall top marks is lower than previous years?
Even though Topmark dropped from 290 to 282 , I heard the percentage of students getting more than 250 is much higher than in 2009. This will cause the COP to go up. Don't forget the Topmark of 290 or 282 is the score of only one student , the Top student. :?: :?: :?: :?: -
that's what i am thinking and have posted on previous page for her

yes u should not miss NYGS with yr grades
What about Nanyang Girls' High School [IP]?Maths Hub:
What do you think of following choice for 260 +2
1) RGS
2) NJC
3) St Nicholas
4) Cedar
5) Crescent
6) CHIJ TP
do u think the chances of RGS is very slim? Definitely prefer my Dd to go to a girls school but she wants to try the IP.Augmum:
since u prefer yr DD to go yo a all girls' sch and she wants to try IP,
why not include NYGH as yr 2 nd choice
(though NYGH last yr COP is 263, with yr DD's score of 262 is worth a try)
and yr choice of NJC goes to 3rd,
in this way, even if she does not qualify for RGS or NYGH, she still have her NJC.
(must add....provided NJC COP does not exceed 260 this yr, but u have a buffer of 3 points to play about )

Hi,
With a score of 225, like to hear what is the advice for the following choice:
1) Kuo Chuan Presbyterian - 227
2) Chung Cheng (Yishun) - 230
3) Riverside - 229
4) CHIJ St Joseph - 226
5) Ang Mo Kio - 227
6) Peirce - 208
My idea is to maximize the chance to get into any of the 1-5 school and use 6, hopefully with enough buffer just in case fail to get into the top 5 choices. Thank you so much.
Hi, if you look at the past COPs for schools, you notice that they don't change very much, which means Kuo Chuan's COP likely to remain 227 or +/- 1 or 2 points, Chung Cheng +/- 1 to 2 pts from 230 etc.
This means that you may likely be posted to CHIJ St Joseph or otherwise Pierce.
It is best if your last 3 choices are COP at 225 or less to play safe, since it may also be likely that COP may increase this time round.
Do look at other good value-add schools with such COPs. -

I heard alot of people said so too .
I heard that too. I heard it is because there is increase in nos of students in the more than 250 range compared to 2009. Hence COP shld go up. -
