Found a post in the 2010 PSLE report here thread that says

      "Friend’s dd got 249 +2. offered French/German/Jap… top 10%?"

Anyone has found a T-score lower than 249 that offers German/Jap/French?

One of school principles i spoke to today thinks this year top 10% COP could be as low as 245.

Does EESIS offer to PR as well? My son got 261 and is not offered the EESIS.

          Hi all,

Please share you DS/DD's T-score and whether he/she has the EESIS and 3rd Lang (French/ Jap/ German) options?

EESIS determines the top 3% of the cohort while 3rd Lang option is for top 10%. The COP T-scores for both can be used to \"calculate\" the COPs of schools especially top schools like RI/RGS/HCI/NYGH/DH etc.

Last year 2009 EESIS COP was 261. Top 10% COP was 248. If the EESIS COP gone up this year, we can expect the top schools' COPs to go up as well.

            From MOE website

The EESIS are awarded up to the top one-third of the total number of Secondary One pupils admitted to all Independent Schools (IS), based on their PSLE results.

The EESIS is also awarded to P6 GEP pupils who are Singapore Citizens and who

1.meet the P6 GEP promotion criteria, and
2.are enrolled in the IP in an Independent School at S1.

Thanks,HHB. It is also stated that it will be announced after the posting result but some posts said that they have been awarded. Are those awarded are DSA?
The offer comes together with the result slip, letter on eligibility for 3rd languages etc etc.
for those with DSA confirmed posting received with the PSLE result, it says the EESIS has been awarded and need not apply for it

for those without DSA but eligible for EESIS, since they do not have confirmed entry to IS (independent school) yet, ....probably the letter could not say it has been awarded...it depends whether the child wants to go to Independent school or not

Is the principal from secondary or primary? What is the reason behind the cop drop? :?
Everyone who is entitled to EESIS would already have been informed during PSLE results day. The wording for EESIS is different for different students. If you have a confirmed DSA, your statement would have read that because you have a confirmed DSA, you need not apply for it..... If you're a GEP student, your EESIS statement would be along the lines of you have qualified for EESIS because of your GEP status.... Those in the top 3% but do not have DSA would have a statement saying they're entitled to EESIS etc... So if your letter didn't say anything about EESIS, you're not entitled to it and you're not in Top 3%.
