Hmmmmmmm , I stay at Woodlands , however , I'm really confuse weather to choose which school for him as he's insisting to choose Woodlands Ring Secondary where his friends are. The standards of that school is not really good , so could ya'll recommend me some of the school he can go ?

If you think he deserve better school than you might want to try Yishun Town, Anderson, both are not too far from Woodlands. Better schools are for students with higher score and MOE had done a great job by providing every PSLE student a book on choosing your secondary school. Open house also help those who has more questions and unsure what the schools represent. I think most would make up their mind by now which is their 1st choice but anyway all I can say is generally we don't have bad school in Singapore.

what is the latest list of COP for the various sec sch?

also, just wonder, what makes NY always remain as top sch?
the calibre of students entering p1?
the amt of tuition classes they go?
the special teaching of the sch?
            the general competitive culture?

            any idea?

                HI all

just want to confirm in case i didn’t get the closing time correctly…

on the day the results were released, the school informed the parents that the closing time was extended to 5pm. just want to double check if the other schools also told the parents the same thing cause when i checked moe website, it said 3pm.

                thks

higher average per capita resources... draw a circle around the school and see who is in that area; also see who the parents are. 🙂

Xinmin seems to be a v gd sch. It has participated in many competitions, some on tv. Even though they did'nt win, they did well. I have a gd impression of this sch. If your child is v keen on taking 3rd lang and has no problem with other subjects, can always give a try. If really cannot cope, can still drop after 1 yr. 😄

I would like to add them on to my spreadsheet of school results, is that ok? It'll be menu style with the heading 'Quantity' 🙂

                      Hi yongjianrong,
No problem 😉 and pls note that I had PMed you. I would also like to express my heartfelt appreciation for your helpful contribution in http://www.onsponge.com/forum/35-thinkingmathonsponge.html for posting worked solutions for Maths problem sums. My younger sister will be taking PSLE 2011 exam next year 😢 and she has a lot to learn from you and others in order to improve her studies.

i have added Pasir Ris Pr 272. Any tution centre you will strongly recommend
No idea as my younger sister is not taking any tuition at this moment.

                      Hi yongjianrong again,
Pls add Pasir Ris Pr 272 and you should have a total of 101 primary schools with known top PSLE t-scores. I am not sure the exact number of schools that have P6 cohort taking PSLE 2010 exam. The figure that I can estimate is about 177 primary schools and pls correct me if this figure is incorrect.

So, 101 out of 177 -> 57.06% which means that there are about 76 primary schools left to be complied.

                      As per lulubelle,
West Grove, 269 (2nd 268) and not 265 as previously listed.Pls kindly edit your spreadsheet.
                      jia you everyone:
oh thx so much! it's really nice of u!
                      :thankyou:
You are welcome. It's good to know how other schools performed in PSLE 2010 exam as my younger sister will be taking PSLE 2011 exam, next year.
