All About Primary Schools' Balloting History

pardon me, I still don’t get it.
How about say Anderson? If it’s not in the balloting list means they only accept registrants within 1km too? -

I guess Anderson is not a good example because it was in the balloting list last year and balloting was required for registrants between 1km-2km.pardon me, I still don't get it.

Balloting only applies if the no. of applicants exceeds the number of spaces available. So for example, schools like Jintai Primary and Ang Mo Kio Primary are not in the balloting list because the number of registrants are lesser than the spaces available in the school. So, those who'd registered will definitely get a space in the school.
Exception would be like in the case of Nanyang Primary. It was not in the balloting list because they simply took in all the registrants that was within 1km to the school because the no. of applicants matched the no. of spaces available. -
ok, so it means that if there are still vacancies after taking in those within 1km or 1-2km, they will also take in those outside 2km?
I do not see Anderson under the balloting list last year :? that's why I am confused. http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/system/files/2007+MOE+P1+Phase+2B+Balloting+Info.pdf -
Basically if the no. of registrants do not exceed that of the no. of spaces available, they would take all the registrants into the school. Proximity to the school will only be taken into consideration when balloting is required.
Sorry, I'd posted the wrong link. The one I'd posted was for balloting info under 2B last year. Go to this link instead.

Hi agent66, why not just refer to our consolidated list http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/singapore-primary-1-registration-school-balloting-history? No color means no balloting, and less than 100% means there were still places available at the end of that Phase.ok, so it means that if there are still vacancies after taking in those within 1km or 1-2km, they will also take in those outside 2km?

Hi Guys,
I'm new in posting but have been lurking in for sometime now. My son going P1 next year, I will be registering him to school withink 1km.
My question is, how to calculate the chances for balloting?
300 seats available, 151 taken at P1,
13 taken at P2,
left 136 seats for the next phase,
Am I right to say that 50% of 136 is available for phase P2C
and the another 50% of 136 is availabe for phase P2CS?
Getting confuse here.... hope some1 can guide me... Thanks.

P2B (for volunteers/church affialiation) not over yet (ie 17 & 18 July). Now bal 136 vacacies, 50% goes to 2B, 50% goes to 2C.
2C supp is whatever bal from 2C. If no bal, no 2C supp for that sch. -
Hi there,
Phase 2B registration will be 17th & 18th July, thus Phase 2 registration is still on-going.
The school you intend to register still has to go through phase 2B. 151 places are taken up at phase 1 and 13 places are taken up in phase 2A2, so there are now 136 places available. Out of these 136 places, 68 places will be make available for phase 2B and 68 places will be for phase 2C. If there are any places remaining after phase 2B, these will go to phase 2C.
Places available in Phase 2C supplement are those that are remaining after the phase 2C registration, which are usually the less popular schools.
Hope this helps. -
