from prior experience, i always have the impression that if you run a tuition centre, you should be able to use primp and proper english. to my horror, i happen to overhear on the managers speak. o my, the queen of england would flip. the teochew accent is so thick and this is a middle aged chap. looking at the top people who speaks like a teochew ah pek with the teochew tune, what do you expect of the teachers there. basically, they employ people, dont know if they are teachers or not, and its a class basis. if i am not mistaken, 20 in class. just dish out worksheets, go through them. nothing fantastic. my neighbours kids go the one at gombak. minimal improvement. i would prefer to go further, hey , there is a stalford learning centre, heard it’s quite good responsible. if you get into the classes of some of the older teachers there, your kids will benefit. i am not sure about some of the kiddy looking boys who claimed they are teachers. and i also had the pleasure of speaking to the ceo ms teo, she is informative and quite a good speaker. chew on it.

just education publishes assessment books now…thumbs up for them because they are they are one of the bigger brand names in singapore offering tuition lah…apart from Mavis, Pro-Teach, Little Professors and Mind Stretcher… Pro-Teach is more famous for student care… Mavis is good in my opinion…
