my colleague just went to meeting for PV in West Grove on last weekend for her son which born 2004. For 2005 one is should be register before May 2010. :?Dear mummies (and possibly daddies)...
Anyone of you keen to do PV at West Grove for your kids?
My son is born in year 2005, for PV at West Grove, we have to register by 30 June this year.
Alternatively, I am thinking of Xingnan as another option...as it seems as a quite decent school.
My friends told me that foundation studies is very important so I am really stress out on which school to choose!

Thanks for all replies and advise..
My email acct is sioktinglee@gmail.com.
Appreciated if you would provide the statistic for Phase 2C Supplement.
Still a few weeks to struggle in decission making..stress mah...
Many thanks..

If you do have it, pls share it with me/us. I've been digging high n low for this report. Ur help is greatly appreciated! Thanks. -
I have signed up for PV at West Grove for my son who is born in 2004. The principal say that there is a high chance of balloting because the no. of PV is really huge.
Another alternative is to register my son in my old school at Henry Park Primary but it's really really far away.
Any suggestions? Really really at a loss. :? Tks alot!! -
Hi neptune,
You might want to consider registering for Henry Park first.
Then, during Phase 2B, you check out the situation for West Grove. If there is a confirmed situation for balloting, at least you have secured a place in a good school for your kid. If situation ends up with no balloting, then very close to closing time, you withdraw from Henry Park and go for West Grove…
But if you are very concerned about the distance, then may also want to check out other schools nearby instead…
My 2 cents worth… good luck! -

Westgrove phase 2C:
2006: 101 vacancies, 345 applicants
2007: 125 vacancies, 316 applicants
2008: 118 vacancies, 355 applicants
Rulang phase 2C:
2006: 49 vacancies, 174 applicants
2007: 47 vacancies, 162 applicants
2008: 81 vacancies, 154 applicants
Both schools conducted balloting for those staying within 1km in all 3 years for phase 2C. But the no of applicants MOE released on top include those staying out of 1km also (though that should be minimal I guess). So if you want to know how many of the applicants were within 1km, maybe u can call up the schools to ask.
