          Dec:
Can anyone feedback on jurong point branch?

I am thinking to send my DD for their K1 class. Any comment on the teachers and which K1 teacher is good?

          Thanks....
I sent my boy to Morris Allen at Jurong Point, under Miss Sally Ann Eagle. My boy has not been attending K2 this year due to health problems, so I sent him to Morris Allen once a week, purely for social interaction only. I taught him at home, and he is able to read long English novels and write compositions independently, so his foundation is already very good. Check out my blog : http://tamarindphonics.blogspot.com/2010/04/what-to-expect-in-primary-one.html.

I think that the syllabus at Morris Allen is good, however, I do not think that it will greatly improve a child's English standard if he/she is very weak in English. If we want a child to be good in languages, parents must be prepared to teach at home every day, attending classes once a week is not sufficient.

Miss Sally Ann Eagle is very experienced, and she is one of the best teachers that I have ever encountered. My boy's other teachers always complain that he daydreams in class. But Miss Eagle said that he is able to focus on things that interest him, and he has no problem focusing in her class. I was so happy when I heard that, I have finally found a teacher who understands him.

However, when I asked my boy whether he likes his teacher, he says she is very boring. Her class is definitely not the fun and exciting type, my boy has to sit down to do work for 2 hours, but I think that is great for preparing him to go into P1 next year šŸ˜‰

I intend to send my kids to MA to try out. Per their website, if thru recommendation, the school will be waived the registration. Mums who have children with MA, please pm me. Thanks alot.

Appreciate any recommendation or feedback on MA Orchard for my elder daughter. Still deciding between LC and MA. Thanks. It would also be great if you could send me details of your child to help me waived the registration charge if I decide to enrol her in MA.

                        Hi all

This thread is pretty quiet now... just wondering if anyone has enrolled their kid to MA recently or those who have tried before, any comments abt them?
My DS is gg K1 next yr and MA @ bishan seems to be the most convenient English Centre around for him but as there aint much comments on MA, i am still contemplating btw MA and ICR (which needs travelling)...
                        Appreciate any feedback! šŸ™‚ TIA!!
