No problem, my pleasure...i myself hv learnt a lot from other parents in ksp forum.....and by the way...one more pt...if u are so concerned abt chinese curriculum...my advice is send your child to berries.Hi XYZ1
thks for the helpful reply:)
I did that with my 2 kids and they loved berries and the sch environment is also very warm with caring teachers. I recommend the bt batok one (opp west mall and located inside the community center)..but they hv a long waiting list.
Hope this helps again. -
Hi XYZ1
I sure am concerned abt whether a sch offers CL curriculum since most children have problem with the language at pri level n if this prob is not properly addressed when we parents know it, then we will be putting our kids under unnecessary stress. Wow, I didn’t know even enrichmt ctr in the west r also subj to long waiting list! I’ll check out the ctr then, is it mainly learning thru speech n drama, poems, stories etc? Thks! -

Hi...Berries try to teach chinese in a fun way...for the pre-primary kids.Hi XYZ1
I'll check out the ctr then, is it mainly learning thru speech n drama, poems, stories etc? Thks!
My kids...and many of my other friends' kids all seem to enjoy this \"fun\" way of learning mandarin.
Once they hit K2 level, they introduce hanyu pinyin and for their primary sch levels, they follow the MOE chinese curriculum closely...
in fact, they actually prepare your child well for higher chinese in pri sch..this is my personal experience la. -

Hi, well, it purely my experiences with JCK, since my boy has been there since nursery and he is now in K2. Now that, my gal is in Nursery, I have more interactions with the Principal, teachers and even the bus operators. So far, so good.hi lakeside mum
seems like so far, everyone has great comments on the principal n teachers, curriculum, thks for sharing! i read in other threads, it's a mixture of +ve n -ve comments for other sch, but jck is the only 1 with +ve comments! -
Hello,

hi, you may consider sending your kid to MMI in JW enrichment centre for pre-nursery, they call them Workgroup. It's fun, and my gal was there last year before joining JCK this year. She learnt montessori phonics etc. Quite good. The teachers are nice too. -
i emailed the school to enquire about curriculum n to arrange a visit if possible, but Patricia, whom I think is the principal(?), never replied since last Wed…only replied once before that regarding date of registration n that’s it. i called up also received no response…so far, my experience is so-so only, can’t gauge the school like mummies here.

Can I ask a dumb question? Is Jurong Calvary Kindergarten the same as Calvary Church Kindergarten?
