      Hi

My kid is with Pat’s Claymore. I notice some discussion on catered food. I have not tried the food myself since the teacher didn’t offer it to me haha… but what I understand from previous enquiry and a friend whose kids were in Pat’s a couple of years back is that the food is cooked by their central kitchens located in some centres and they have their own chefs to plan the meals. I believe Claymore’s food is cooked at the Mount Emily central kitchen. I have not checked in the last year so I don’t know if this has changed to an outsourced provider. I thought the lunches looked and smelled really yummy based on the few times I have seen them.

Breakfasts tend to be simpler and I am not really sure where they are prepared.

If the food is really planned and cooked by inhouse central kitchens, I thought it would be much better than those cooked in individual schools by aunties.

Hi, I visited Pat’s @ Tanglin yesterday. If I didn’t remember wrongly, the food are catered from Mum’s Kitchen while snacks (incl fruits I suppose?) are prepared at the centre.

the cooking at central locations then deliver to other pats - is old arrangement.

since last yr, all has been changed to mum's kitchen.. even baby haven infant food are catered from there.

Indeed it’s true. Principal said the catering from Mum’s Kitchen started from mid last year.

but i do notice that most of the kids don't come in till 9.30 am... is this common? :?

IMO, this is a case of expanding far too fast in the short time that Knowledge Universe has bought over.

Quality of teachers... I wonder if they are still as good as before. 😞

                        Dear all,

Read about the $100 increase in Pat’s fees from the papers today.
Have they effected the increase already or they planning to?
