all the bus drivers/operaters would be at the canteen... last yr i saw over 30routes. it was wow... so I guess u can get ur answer there on the day.

There are a handful operators currently operating in schools' scc. YMCA, Pro-Teach? But am sure the Principle will do it right.
So far, my boy's is enjoying his time in SJI 1 Luke. How about your DS?

My boy is in 1 Patrick. shd be enjoying himself... so much that i get love letters from tr saying he plays too much! hahahaha

my boy came back with a survey for student care service. sure hope they can finalise the setting up of the SCC within the school real soon.

Nearest ASC is at Derbyshire Kindergarten just at the side of the school.

I hear the school is quite relaxed academically, which is a huge relief for me. Also, I'm not sure if my son is slow as he still has trouble with his English reading :(... Are the boys expected to be proficient readers when they start P1?

Also, just to check: school starts at 7.20am and ends at 1.30pm everyday? No early end days?

So far homework are minimal. For kids that dont read fluently, there is extra reading time during recess time at the library. Everyday it's from 720am-130pm.

Got the letter. Orientation is in November. It says start at 9am. Any idea when will it end? Does parents need to attend the orientation?

It's a half day orientation. Kids would be going to their respective classes with their trs. While parents sits in the hall to listen to various HODs giving a short brief of their subjects for P1. After that parents are led to a classroom to do paperwork... filled up some forms, hand in $$ for some sch required funds, hand in the health booklet etc.

On the same day u can buy ur books (I rather order online), buy uniform (I rather goes to the shop @ Tpy) and settle ur school bus.

I took the chance to walk ard the sch with my boy and also went to check out the stalls in the canteen and give a brief orientation on the food/price to my boy KS Mum scare he blur during recess....

1. How much is the school bus fare from SJI (houses within 2km) - I pays $70 for one way to Toa Payoh Central

2. Does the school bus picks the kid up after ECA? - I understand from older kids parents that they do have such service at a per trip charge

3. How much are the fees that we need to pay every month? I think it's $6 per mth? It goes thru Giro thus din bother

4. For P1, there is no ECAs right? There are no ECAs

5. When is the orientation day? Last year it was in Nov

6. When do we need to formally submit all the forms and documents the child for school? During Orientation
