During the parent teachers meeting in feb we were told that only very weak students those scoring < 20 will be called in for supplementary classes in the march hols. But during june hols all will be called in for the first week and the last week of the holidays. So only 2 weeks of june holidays. Also there will be some Adam Khoo(AK) motivational workshop for one day during the june holidays( this was not confirmed). And then in sept hols have to go back for 3 days for exam techniques. Other than the Adam Khoo rest are by school teachers, no outside vendors. I wonder if we have to pay :moneyflies: for AK as I've heard the are pricey.

But now DS's math teacher has said that she might need to call a couple of students from his class for supp in the march hols. Don't know who. Maybe will know today. Hope DS is not one of them. πŸ™
Wow. Your school also δΈ‹ι‡ζœ¬ and look like Adam Khoo's business is quite good.

BTW, don't worry and I’m sure your ds will be doing well lah.

Oh.. I didnt know about the HMT does not meet minimum score, cannot take the actual exam. What is the minimum score they should be getting?

Their English teacher is out this whole week for bringing P4 pupils for some immersion programme, so I dont think they will be getting their English paper back this week.

He only get the Maths paper back today.. should be easy cos he told me about 4 pupils got full marks.

MT and HMT wise, he mentioned the teacher will return the papers most likely end of this week.

If ask about how his class/cohort did as in overall, he will simply tell me no idea :stupid:

Well, mine was told must score > 70...else drop off HCL and just concentrate CL.

Wow, is yours also in the '4-pupils' category....umm.. the show \" I am Number Four\" :rahrah:

Hmm... I'll drop a email to the Chinese teacher to confirm on that.

DS very careless.. 2 marks taken away for paper 2. 😒

DS got back normal chinese today.Last week, learnt that he was down with three mcq.Today, got back the full paper, he is lucky that whole paper was pulled up by the two compre.

Three mistakes in paper two was in close passage.Din know this section can be that bad.

            Rgds
            Leanne
            Hi Leanne

Well done. As long as the children are stable with the compre, the other section (MCQ) is easier to work for improvement lah.

πŸ˜„ Maths is always his favourite subject. But not Science, CL and HMT. I believe your DS also do pretty well in his CA1, esp Maths.

Mine was told if HMT does not meet minimum scores during CA1, kids cant' take the actual exams during PSLE.
Here is the email replied from DS's Chinese Teacher, I was asking if the students need to score > 70 in order to sit for PSLE's HMT:

In CFS, we believe in building up the long term interest for Chinese in our children and we do not have the policy that you stated.

In fact, you may wish to know that our number of HCL classes have been increasing over the past few years. With our kind of numbers, there will of course be people who will not perform that well for HCL, but we believe in grooming the future of our nation, instead of simply shoring up brilliant statistics for the school. πŸ˜„

Actually it is true, when come to their favourite subjects, they will excel and want to best perform yaa
On the other side of the coin, only if all the subjects they love, then do well, we parents can qiao-jiao , shake leg right ... :rotflmao:
