Wow that mean left 35% of places in Phase 2C? Like that at 1Km also have to ballot is it?
No, you havent counted in 2A2 and grassroot leaders. For the last 5 years, NYPS has only 6~16% left for phase 2C. And balloting within 1km is nothing new for this school. -
Oh then would be keen to know what is the probability to get into at 1Km balloting.

My understanding of MGS is, usually there is balloting within 1-2km so there is not much chances for people staying >2km. Correct me if I'm wrong.
You are right. People like me living outside 2km will have absolutely no chance in MGS.... -

Hi, sorry, you will not be able to get your son into ACS even though you were from the JC unless you studied in one of their 2 primary schools. MGS? No priorities at all..Hi everyone
I have recently just moved back to Singapore after living abroad for 20 years so please forgive my ignorance.
I used to go to Anglo Chinese juniour college. Will my daughter have any form of priorites to enter MGS since it has affiliation with it? Or, it only works if I have a boy to enter ACS school? I am a bit confused here. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks! -
Is there anyone with general information about princess elizabeth? I am between 1 & 2km. Do they usually ballot? I need to register end of July.
I also want to know about RGPS. I hear that only the GEP girls are well taken care of. Any comments? -

Princess E is in Bukit Batok.
You can see the infor plus past balloting stats http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=463&start=0. -
Thanks jedamum, I do know that it is in Bkt Btk. I was wondering about the scthoolโs culture. I happen to meet a group of P1 children from the school on a weekly basis for some tuition lessons and am rather shocked at the way they speak english. A little worried that my girl will end up like that too.

Hi Little_Princess. Princess Elizabeth doesn't take PV, for that reason the demand in Phase 2C is high. Balloting for the past 3 years have been for <1km...
I guess you will have to drop this one from your list.. -

Hi suan25,suan25:
In case anyone is interested. I went to attend Nanyang Pri Registration Talk last Sat.
They have 390 places- 13 classes of 30 students.
They have already 180 places taken up by phase 1 this year.
About 45 for Phase 2A1 based on the Alumni letters they have given out and 30 PV going for Phase 2B.
Eh?? I was pratically on NYPS's website daily the whole of last week, but I didn't see anything about a talk??
I'm definitely interested. Besides the places info you gave above, any other important info?? Could you provide a summary?
Thanks a bundle!!
This is as much as i know. I am not sure how the others know about the talk cos I was informed as I am an Alumni member but definitely there are people there that are not alumni. Interesting there is quite a number of foreigners there.
Yes, the unknown factor will be the grassroots leaders group- cos they can apply to all the schools in thier consituency; and the old boys and girsl not part of alumni- but the principal mention that this 2A2 group numbers has been dwindling.
Oh, to add, they had 44% of their PSLE students achieve top 10% scores last year- i am impressed!
BTW, just curious, why do people chose Nanyang? I have heard so much of people moving/renting just to be in 1 km- and thisonly gives them a better chance in balloting. -

For me, the reason is simple....phase 2A2.

Do you have a child entering P1 next year as well?
