I have many friends who sign up as school volunteers or even to the extent of moving to a neighbourhood with good schools. But spare me pls....I really can't be bothered.
[/quote]Spare me pls...I really can't be bothered with such comments coming from parents who have priority in Phase 2B and happened to stay within 1km of popular schools
Good thing though for pv-wannabes like us - lesser competition. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Just visited MOE website. It seemed that some of the schools have reduced the P1 students intake for yr 2010 as compared to last year.

lesser babies than a year ago ...

        Hi Tankee,

So you had did PV in which school & trying in Phase 2B?

            yes, you are right.

30mins each morning, 2 morning per week, 10 weeks each of the 4 school terms for a total of 80 mornings over 1 year to clock that 40hrs.

              Agreed !!!

I'm PROUD to say that I'm one of those super kiasu parent that shifted home to be within 1km and did PV.

And that's how much my wife and I loved our boy; and willing to scarifies to let him have a better chance in life.

I completed PV too, but I donโ€™t think itโ€™s anything to do with sacrifice or commitment to a childโ€™s education. Because the converse is that those who do not choose to do PV are then negligent about their children, which is clearly untrue. When the dust settles on all this I will say my peace about PV and home-school distance.

Let's hope we had did PV & able to secure a place in our choice school.

For my case, I had sacrified 80 hours as did for 2 schools.

14 days to count down to Phase 2B
                  :celebrate:
