hnklly:
Hi hnklly,I think they are looking for those parents who can really commit the hours, their requirements is 60 to 70 hours, for those who can contribute in very specialised area will be welcome too eg. webpage design, able to teach students in specified areas etc.
Above are my own feel and opinions, guess the main reason I am selected is because I am a homemaker and there are people to take care of my kids when I am away.
Thanks for sharing...:)...guess i shall just try my best and leave it to fate when my turn comes...
All the best in your PV journey...^_^
Best Regards,

congrats, hnklly, so sad i wasnt selected for the pv. they are so secretive abt the selection. I am also a homemaker, somemore living within 1km from the school. Guess, i am just not lucky enough.I think they are looking for those parents who can really commit the hours, their requirements is 60 to 70 hours, for those who can contribute in very specialised area will be welcome too eg. webpage design, able to teach students in specified areas etc.

Littlefire, I wrote in to 4 schools for PV application and finally only get selected in one. That's why I always encourage PV-to-bes to write in to a few schools at the same time as back-up plans. -
Live in Serangoon and eligble for CHIJ (OLPS) under phase 2 A as we belong to the church. Can anyone suggest if OLPS is a good school. I wanted CHIJ (TP) but may not qualify as beyond the 2 km distance.
Also in Rosyth may not stand a chance as may require balloting…
How is Cedar…I am confused. Can u advise. Shall I just stick to OLPS where seat seems assured or try balloting at CHIJ (TP) or Rosyth. Like idea of Cedar as it is co-education. Pls advise -
Majella,
See if you can find some CHIJ OLPS info http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=438&start=0.Majella:
