We have posted the interim results (pending final confirmation from MOE) http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/2010-p1-registration-phase-2b. MOE should be release the balloting information for Phase 2B sometime today.

... Anyway this is the list of my prediction for balloting under 2B this year :

StNick, RedSw, Temasek, ATS, CH, MGS, NYPS, PHPS, ACS(Jr), DLS, Southview, TNS, SJIJ, NCPS, StHilda, CHIJ(TPY) and PCPS.

Close on the borderline are CHIJ(Katong), HPPS, RGPS, KHS, CHIJ(OLTN), HIPS, Rulang, ACS(Pri), Gongshang and Chongfu.

Let's see how many I get it right hee

Luanee... onz! You get 10 KiasuPoints for each school you guessed correctly that goes into balloting, and 50 KiasuPoints if you get it down to the exact distance for balloting

Then again... you don't participate in our Kiasu Auctions, anyway

So assuming no one withdraw or any twins/triplets or schools opening new classes, these 18 schools will undergo balloting under 2B this yr: ATS, ACS(Jr), ACS(Pri), CH, CHIJ(TPY), CHIJ(StNick), Chongfu, KHS, MGS, NCPS, PLMGS, PCPS, Rulang, Southview, StHilda, SJIJ, TNS and MarisStella.

So I get 120 kiasu points (excluding those borderline which I stated above)? LOL..

Anyway, looks like this would be the first time that Rulang, Southview and Maris Stella conduct balloting under 2B.

Those who registered at NYPS, NHPS, Temasek, PHPS and MahaBohdi must be rejoicing now, they just escaped balloting with the number of applicants matching exactly the number of vacancies!!

I would like to share that being a community leader doesnt mean 100% can register the child under phase2B. For my case, because of some criteria, although I am a community leader but I cant enjoy the benefit of phase 2B registration, now I feel unfair....and also feel very bad that I am not even given a chance to help my child to get into my choice of school.......and worst I have to compete with so many ppl to get into the choice of school..... I just feel being a community leader doesnt help at all.......

Oh heard no balloting for Maris Stella coz there is one pair of twins. So one down, luckily it doesnt affect my kiasu pt as it was not on my list, hee…

Oh you being Community Leader can't register in Phase 2B? What kind of system is that? Wish you good luck in the Phase 2C.

Cheer up janetang…its not the end of the world. u have tried yr best for yr son. There’s still 1 last bit u can do before the start of phase 2C…choose another good school in your neighbourhood. Its too late and not worth fighting for a place in popular school now as the chances is very slim. Also do check out the balloting history for the past yrs to help u make a decision and judge for yr chance first. At least secure a good neighbourhood school for your son then trying yr luck under 2C where u will be fighting with everyone living within 1km.

to start with, community work on a broad basis is meant to benefit the society as a whole. the privilege bestowed to children (in the form of registration in Phase 2B) of community leaders are meant to be a 'reward' to these selfless people. thanks for highlighting your plight so that parents who are thinking of going through this route have to keep their minds open.

don't be too overly upset. phase 2C is coming up real soon. focus on another search and formulate backup plans now. there is more than 1 way to give your child a headstart in school.
