      Funz:

At home we have all sorts of materials for them to explore with. Started with dough, crayons, then water colours, oil pastels, craft scissors, fabric paints, charcoal pencils, etc. Sadly all of which DH threatens to throw away each time they start doing their craft. He can't stand the mess that inevitably accompanies any art or craft session.
I hv all sorts of art materials for my boy too! Always buy them from overseas sprees or bulk purchases! Sometimes those small craft shops at Chinatown will have intereting things too!

& I hate the mess at home! My solution: my boy does his art in the lift lobby (mine is 4 units per level). We bring his table & chair out, lay newspaper on the floor and he can basically do anything he likes. If he makes a mess, my maid will sweep up or wash the floors (she does it on alternate days anyway).

Once my other neighbour move in, I'm considering buying those children's picnic table to put there permanently cos they have a girl who can play with my boy πŸ™‚

I am sooo getting this alex craft thing.

mrswongtuition, we have a garden and that is where the kids do most of their messy stuff. πŸ˜„ But on rainy days then no choice stuck at home. And after that, my maid will help to clean up the mess but DH just cannot stand the work in progress part. Dunno why oso, not as if he is the one that does the cleaning up.

The Alex craft thingy looks fun. Will buy some for long holidays. Now not sure who is more excited to play. The mum or the children  Let us know where is cheaper to get them.

It's quite exciting, EN. Our girls were really

concentrating and quiet... Yup, once my girls
are both off the flu and off to school, of for
kai-kai buds will go. Will definitely update
            everyone here. πŸ˜‰

Yes, EN. Definitely great for long holidays
especially if putting up at hotels or resorts
without the Kids Club facilities. Me & buds
hubs prefer to put up somewhere with such
facilities. Helps with having the girls to pack
light... hehee... and plus the service usually
allows us two to have some couple time as
well, when we're not accompanying them
with the club's activities. Some clubs offer
outdoor fun as well, like fish feeding, sports
activities and seashell hunting. Cool! 😎

Funz, you just reminded me of Swensens with that phrase! Hahahaa!
Yah! I gotta get us more of these ALEX stuff. I like the quality of it very
much. πŸ˜‰ You sound pretty excited, Funz. Lemme noe if you manage
to get them before moi @ a cheaper price than what we have compared
earlier, when the Sand Art was featured.

For every craft project we undertake, my girls are involved through
the whole process - from the preparation prior to the actual activity
like getting old newspapers to protect the floors and tape too, cos i
usually tape the newspapers to prevent accidental flying due to any
sudden breeze or from the fan... to complete help with clean up ie.
one will sweep and the other will keep... followed by spray the floor
and wipe dry... (etc). It has been an unspoken responsibility for the
girls since they were young. At most they would just need some
delegating of chores, if they do forget to clear up after each activity. πŸ˜›

It's great to have a garden like you, so activities can be done outdoors!
              Envy.. πŸ˜‰ Hehee...

Yes Buds please. Sounds interesting. I am already imagining traffic lights, zebra crossings, cars, barriers, road signages type of end-product for my crazy-abt-traffic-related-stuff son. πŸ˜‰

                  Hi Buds

I love those sand art thingy which you did with your girls. Need to ask you, when you laminate the finished product, can it go through the laminating machine?did you laminate the usual way?

Oh ya! and I love those sun catchers too.

                  Thanks.

Yes, sphinx… it went through as per normal

paper lamination (with a laminating machine). 😎
Another way you can consider preserving the
pieces is using the contact paper easily available
@ Popular. Hey, when our sun catchers manage
to capture some light from the sun, i’ll take another
picture to share with you. Today a little dim outside.

                      Hi Buds

Thanks for enlightening me. You mean those laminating rolls-like a giant scotch tape is it?
I am so gonna try the sand art and the sun catcher thingy but must find a cheaper one in case it doesn’t turn out for first timer like me.

Yes, in rolls and with either pink or blue

square grids at the back. Yah, hopefully
we can all find a cheaper place to get em'.
I've tried a few other brands and this is 1
time i can publicly say it's a good quality
                        product. πŸ˜‰
