Comparing Chinese Enrichment (Primary/Preschool)

May I know both yr DD's are in which time slot? Sat or Sun?

Mine both on Thursday night class. DD1 730-915pm, DD2 730-900pm.

Wow quite difficult for me as I'm working parents. Maybe I would try weekend slot at least not so rush. How about the Orchard outlet, have you heard of any good teachers over there?

I just started both my kids at Tien Hsia at Jurong Point. DD 6yrs old going P1 next year and DS 4yrs old. Chose Tien Hsia cos niece has been with Tien Hsia since she was in K1 and now she is in P5 doing higher chinese. From the time where she refuse to speak a single word of mandarin to now where she is consistantly scoring above 90 for all chinese exams so I guess they must be doing something right.


So far, from the stuff that the kids bring home, I would say, DS is ahead of the Tien Hsia class. I think DD is also ahead of the Tien Hsia class due to her childcare curriculum. But I am ok with it cos my objective for both of them now is to expose more to the language since both DH and my Chinese CMI.

Tien Hsia ?? Seem like Berries is better than Tien Hsia? Maybe I need to go each of them trial trail then have a final verdict.

Yup, you better get the weekend slots.. if I remember correctly, I think tamarind's are in the weekend slots.. i think.. read thru this thread from the front you'll see it..

That's true.. go try out all the trials, the you can judge to see which school and teacher makes your child comfortable... very important..

i think it make logistic sense to try out those nearer to your place first. maybe you'll be already sold on the school's curriculum/commitment that you can't get past trials of more than 2 schools. some schools do have a way of attracting the kids that make the kids want/insist to go back after the first trial lesson.

Ha.ha after finish the PV & P1 registration, now is more work on trial chinese enrichment.


Ya maybe should trial here, trail there then I post in KSP Blog & gain KS points? Correct, should start the nearest one 1st then decide further. Ok going to genertate my trial list soon.
