all have their own merits. different children respond to different styles. there is no sure 'which one is better' unless some parents who had tried at least 2 can do a comparison for you but only based on that 2 experiences.

unless of course titank intends to trial all centres...:D

But even after that the information should still be used as reference only.. what is suitable for Titank's child may not be suitable for yours, liliansim... so it would be great to have the review then you send your kid for the trials (of shortlisted ones) too..

Ha.ha after finish the PV & P1 registration, now is more work on trial chinese enrichment.


Ya maybe should trial here, trail there then I post in KSP Blog & gain KS points? Correct, should start the nearest one 1st then decide further. Ok going to genertate my trial list soon.

Wow called a few Chinese enrichment centre all said how good, solid, their programme. I getting confused already.

Some have trial where some expect you to commit 1 term. Anyone had experienced Han Language Centre? Can share if you have?

titank ah, if you ask them, they sure claim good.. don't take their word for it! Go check it out youself, at least you can see how the individual teacher handles your child and other children.. see if it is interesting..

Just to share with you.. once when I was about to go signup my gal for a trial class (famous brand)- I saw saw the 3 kids in there yawning and distracted (it was half hour into the 1 hour lesson).. BORING!! My gal and I were extremely sure it will not be suitable for her! :lol:

hi liliansim,
eduplus' principal runs 3 different types of centres; viz Eduplus, Story Island and EG2.

When my son was in pre-school, he went to Eduplus. Had lots of fun there as he gets to record his own lesson and bring home to revise. Teachers there are full of 爱心，every time the kids arrive, the teachers will greet them with '宝贝' or their names. I think the kids love them.

When he got to primary school, I did not want a class that gives him tuition ( in my words, re-teaching what the school has taught or teaching in advance), so I put him into Story Island. I was attracted more by the fact that they get to read story books and then present them to the parents at the end of every lesson. Recently, they opened up another class which they call the 专项班 ; (maybe this is what you mean by the higher chinese?) focus is on oral, compo writing. The kids still get to present the story but in their own words. Most of the time, I see that my son gets to learn new words rather than the same ones that he learns from textbook, which is important for my son because he gets bored easily.

I went to visit their EG2 class but never considered it though the curriculum looks interesting. 2 hrs per week and if I remember correctly, it is $60 per hour, which means $120 per lesson. :moneyflies:

I have never been to any other enrichment centres so can't comment on whether Eduplus is better or worse compared to the rest.
