HI , my son is going to MSH next year (2010) .. any other parents with kids going in too ? and how many are newbies to MSH ? (i.e. not via elder siblings.. like mine) , would like to forma small support network.. many thanks..

Sounds like a great idea tiredmama! You definitely need a support network in the same school because kids can really be quite blur - don't know what homework to do, what are the upcoming tests, spelling lists, etc. Wait... I'll set up a Forum for Parents Support Groups for each school! -

Ya loh, last weekend think of RVPS & RMPS until head big big. In the end, choose for convenience where I select Radin Mas.
Seem the block that I stay does not see anyone from RMPS. I shall be the Pioneer loh. -

Hi everyone,
I'm interested to know the chances of enrolling my boy in MSHS if my parents live within 2km of the school.
My brother is an old boy & so are many of my childhood friends. I would love to enrol my son there not only for the strong reputation of the school but also for the convenience as the school is just 3min drive from my hb's workplace!
& my boy will be going to my parents home everyday after school, so it's more convenient to place him somewhere near.
I'm not from a Catholic church, neither do I think I'll be able to do PV. Any suggestions? My hb is considering joining RC to boost our chances.
Btw, my boy is 2007 baby. I know I'm very KS but I need to have 'mental preparation' in event that MSHS is out of our reach, I need a backup plan. -

Dear mrswongtuition, we had to move your post into this thread as the other Forum is meant for parents who already have places in MSHS.
To answer your question, have you checked out the http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/toa-payoh yet? -

Actually I read through this thread and my reason for posting there is to hear from parents who have already gone through the whole process and successfully have children in that schoolmrswongtuition:

And there's nothing wrong with that, except it will be useful to keep discussions on the process of getting into the schools within this Forum so that we can keep the other Forum for purely for more specific discussions about the level of homework, quality of the teaching staff, homework, etc. Thanks!
