        Hi,

I’m new and this is my 1st time posting. I’ve been following this thread very closely. Need some advice. I’ve registered DS in GES under Phase 2A2 just to grab a place 1st, but now we’re contemplating should we go for ZD under Phase 2C. Hubby is more keen on ZD but I’m keen on RM however looking at the no of vacancies left, don’t think we stand a chance (we’re between 1km and 2km). We’ll be within 1km for ZD. Both of us are kinda of confuse right now. Help plssss… Shd I stay put with GES or try ZD?

        TIA

Strawberrypie, what u can do is to monitor the situation at ZD closely once registration starts on Wed. On the last day (ie. Friday), go to ZD and ask how many applicants are within 1km. If this is lesser than the total number of vacancies, then u will be assured of a place in ZD without balloting (ZD balloted for 1-2km last year). In that case u can withdraw from GES quickly and register in ZD. Do check in advance the procedure and documents required for the withdrawal.

You can try the following strategy if you want, just my 1 cents worth.

            Strategy 1
-Monitor RMPS on the last day 31 Jul. If intend to try RMPS & have chance to ballot (1km to 2km, hopes still the same) then just try to fight the battle. 63 places in RMPS.
            - If enter good luck. If no proceed to Phase 2C Supplementary try GESPS.

            Strategy 2
-Monitor ZDPS on the last day 31 Jul. Monitor ZDPS still have places for you (You are in 1Km). If yes, withdraw GESPS & register in ZDPS. If have to ballot then just try to fight the battle. 130 places in ZDPS, very unlikely to have ballot for your case since you are 1km range.
(-If enter good luck. If no proceed to Phase 2C Supplementary try GESPS.

            Strategy 3
-You already in GESPS Phase 2A(2). Forget the headache & the stress & get ready for orientation in GESPS.

Thanks Luanee and titank for your advise. I’ll probably do that. Hubby leaves the decision to me and I don’t want to make the wrong choice. What shd be the strong pull factor in order for me to really come to a final decision?

Wow very chim to understand \"What shd be the strong pull factor in order for me to really come to a final decision?\".

I think same scenario when I'm making a decision when deciding between RVPS & RMPS in Phase 2B. Already almost lock the target to apply RVPS in the end go for RMPS.

I just want to assume there is sufficient \"Education Infrastructure\" & \"Transport Infrastructure\" where next time my kid can be independent take SBS bus home. If reqd to fetch by my parents also not that troublesome. Primary school is for 6 years, need to have very detail evaluation.

                Wish you good luck then.

Hi… correct me if I am wrong. Most parents would prefer ZDPS than GESPS. I thought both school’s are about the same standards?

I think ZDPS is higher than GESPS. it seem ZDPS is slowly catching up in Bt Merah area.

I think I’m abit too late - if I decide to try RM, I shd go tomorrow right? But I think my chances are very slim, I’m between 1km and 2km.

                        Hi,

I have already registered my girl to CHIJ (Kellock) in Phase 2A. However, I am living in Ang Mo Kio and I think the school is a bit far. I am considering whether to try for CHIJ (Lady of Good Counsel) in Seragoon in Phase 2C. I do not know the chance of enrolling my girl there.

                        Any advise?

Is CHIJ (Lady of Good Counsel) better or worst than CHIJ (Kellock)?

Any advise is appreciated. Thank you.
