i think not all applicants in rulang are within 1 km since the receptionist said the number of applicants are more than 51 out of all applicants!! I assume some would be outside 1 km

Yes of coz. Some ppl just want to try their luck, or are absolutely clueless about the 'distance' thingee..

I was told that the staff has been calling those applicants beyond 1km to withdraw the application since they have no chance at all. The question here is are all 108 within 1km?

Yesterday, my friend went to Rulang at ard 2.30pm and her Q no. is 150 something. But total applicants on MOE site is 108. So I think RUlang had already filtered out those exceeding 1 km.

Yes, Shuqun will have its vacancies filled up by Phase 2C and may even require balloting for those beyond 2km. Do not use it as a 2nd choice if you are trying for Rulang.


Alternatively, why not go for Shuqun in Phase 2C? A bird in hand is worth more than 2 in the bush.

I just called Shuqun to find out the response but the lady who picked up the phone said that they will only key in the applications tomorrow after the close of registration and she said she has no information to provide. Really unhelpful.

And I called Rulang and they told me that they have over 100 applications and majority are within 1km.

I think I will try for balloting for Rulang and if that fails, try Juying or Shuqun (if Shuqun is available for 2CS) or evaluate the best option. I am praying very hard!!
