    My girl grades has dropped from B1(Pri 2) to B3(borderline)

      80 plus for lower primary not good enough. because results will keep dropping all the way till pri6. it is very hard to maintain.


      I know of kids scoring 90+, but keep dropping all the way to P6. I also know of kids scoring 80+, but maintaining or improving over time to P6. So, what is impt in lower primary is not the marks. I hope parents can stop pressurizing kids must score 90+ for lower primary, but rather look and build foundation for the kids in lower primary. When the foundation is strong, the marks will come.

      kiasu parents will be kiasu parents. Die die must get 90+ before they are happy with the kid's grades. However, if these parents put in the effort to teach their own kids, then I guess they are entitled to that thinking. Getting 90+ will be a testament to the effectiveness of their teaching methods and how well they understand their child's weaknesses.
