My daughter got into Rivervale primary - 53 rd out of 63 !!!

I called up rivervale pri sch this morn, my boy got in too!

Any parents went down this morning to witness?
I wonder how many applicants ballot for < 1 km .
I am number 181 when I registered last week!

My boy is no. 32 out of 73 slots... I thought i might scream for joy, but realised really too nervous even to scream. I arrived there at around 9.10am. Went to the first 2 rows to sit. Think almost all the parents sitting the first 2 rows all got it... Congratulations to all those who got into their first choice of school.

I couldn't sleep last night. Went back to the office to work.. haha... Finally tonight can sleep in peace.

Think it's very thoughtful for the principal of Anchor Green to come to NCPS today. At least for those parents who din get it, will know they can go orientate AGPS before they make a decision to register for Phase 2C supp this Friday.

I am now very lost and very sad since yesterday balloting results.
I am less than a km away from Rivervale Primary which was registered at phase 2C. After the unsuccessful entry , we have to look for other schools but all around my area such as Mee Toh or Compassvale Primary are already fully occupied. Choices left with plently of vacancies are North Spring , Seng Kang Primary or as far as Greendale Primary at Punggol. The comments about these schools are not ideal . Should I try to ballot for Edgefield for phase 2C supplementary? I had not slept since yesterday as am very bothered about my girl to travel to the school.

What should I do?

Anchor Green is a new school, opened about 2 years ago. Heard alot of positive feedback about the school and the principal this year. I personally went to the school and also felt good about it.

If my balloting was unsuccessful yesterday, I would have register for Anchor Green in Phase 2C supp too.

school left with plenty of vacancies? then should not hv issue even at phrase 3, go for balloting if your heart can take it lor.

my comment is, regardless of the non-ideal comments, which school supposedly seems to match your criteria of CCAs, academic performance, culture etc? if you can’t decide cos there isn’t much significant difference, go for those that you are likely to get in after taking in consideration the travel distance. you are already at the second last stage of registration; either go for ballot and be prepared for Phase 3, or get Phase 2C supp done with and prepare for your kid’s P1 - there isn’t much choice left.
