Hua Min might be another possible choice? I’ve been there 2 times and I really like the peaceful and quietness at that estate. It is pretty airy there and less traffic so it is pretty safe for our kids.
They are also single session so that will be a plus point also… -

i went to all the schools website to see but really duno what to look for IF balloting in Jiemin fail. -

single session sch that i know so far - huamin, ahmad ibrahim, peiying and northview.
so i will likely choose from them for my 2C supp. loh.

That's a good strategy - sometimes it is not about how branded the school is, but about how well your child can perform in the environment. Single session schools may allow more extensive and enriched coverage of each level's syllabus due to the extended hours. BTW, having friends who are parents of children in the same school (or even better, same class) is one of the key requirements of successful KiasuParents. You will know what I mean when your child comes home with a marked test paper of an exam you never knew existed :? .

ChiefKiasu - Thanks...Well, a big stone for me....Ha Ha Ha....Although I never wanted my son to go in CF very badly but when you are there for the ballot....Your heart beats fast and you just wanted to hear the name of ur kid....Anyway, it was terrible going through a ballot....Somemore there were 3 sets of twins n they all got in....So lucky... -
haiz, didn’t get in the for Jiemin balloting as well
i will be choosing single session sch now. looking at Ahmad Ibrahim as got 90+ seats available, hopefully no ballot AGAIN
looking at Yishun Pri but left 20+ seats only so think sure needs balloting then

Like what i previously mentioned, Yishun pri is merging with Pei Xin pri, ultimately, the Yishun's name is confirmed to be continued. The new school premises at current Pei Xin pri is undergoing construction, looking at the progress, may not able to be used by year end. Can't comment the after effect after the upgrading but I personally don't like the school premises. 2 pointers which I noticed after the merged, the school policy, CCAs and niches may need some time to re-establish. Teachers of the 2 schools will be reshuffled and some may be transferred out, this may caused some uncertainty among the teaching staff. Hopefully they could resolve these teething issue this 3-4 months if not the students will be affected. :roll:
Heard from my child's K2 teacher who stayed near Hua min that the teachers there are very committed. Both Naval Base and Hua min are not academic driven, this can be a plus point for the growth of a happy kid.
Heard from a mother of 4 that Pei Ying that she is not happy with the school, roughly heard that the teachers actually let the children to exchange books and marked on each other books. :?
Though I stayed within 1km from Jiemin, I decided to not wasting my time to ballot in phase 2c. Furthermore, also don't like the journey and the upkeep of the premises there.
Chosen Ahmad Ibrahim pri in the end as the environment is conducive, reputated with good teachers and near my house. Want to join me?
