      Hi ctct61t and everybody,

Luck wasn't on my side 😒 😒 , I will have to try other schools next week phrase 2C supp. Just imagine, 66 children vying for 23 vacancy at RM, 3:1 ratio, just like striking 4D, hehe

Sorry to hear that, but not to worry... GES still has quite a number of places, and so does Queenstown Pri.

My girl failed to get a place in RGPS! 171 kids vying for 51 places. 😞 We are sad and so do my girl. We will go for Queenstown Pri in Phase 2C supp... Any comment about this school ? I am considering Queenstown & New Town.... pls advice.

alyplwwf, so sorry to hear that.

Hear from my colleague that GES is also a good school. Her 2 kids were all studing there. My colleague's elder boy's PSLE result is quite good, So she insisted her girl going the same school as her elder brother through she had more chioce.

Hi, niecoco, I'm only familiar with the school near my house. Sorry I did not have the information about Queenstown.

Actually, before conducting this P1 registration, I though GES is better than Zhangde, as I heard from my friends that GES is a good combined school.

Maybe you can post a new subject asking for the informaiton of Queenstown.

GES has a long history and is reputable, while ZhangDe has new building, which means better and newer facilities. πŸ˜‰

Going for one that is nearest to your house is good idea, you save a lot and spare the child from traveling. Remember its 5 days every weeks for the next 6 years.

Yes, it's true. You can save more time to spend it on child's tuition.

Hi, Niecoco, don't be so sad. Acually, for the first 2 years, school is not important for the child's acadamy record. For my opinion, parents should spend more time on child's development, which is much better than outside enrichment course. If you can develop your child better in these 2 years, you will have many chances to shift your girl to a better school in a later stages.

                      thanks ctct61t.

i think most importantly is to monitor my girls' progress and constantly giving her support. I hope she will be given a chance to change but I cant put too much hope on that.

hopefully she will outperform and choose her school in sec.

                        Hi ctct61t

Congrats to you and your kid. RM is very a very popular school in your area. Of course, the other is CHIJ Kellock. About GES, do you know how the school perform in their PSLE as a whole. Is the performance of your colleague’s boy in GES an exception rather than norm. I stay very near to GES and its our last choice or final back up plan.

                        Hi niecoco

Sorry to hear that. Wish you all the best in your next choice of school.

                        Hi alyplwwf

Its though out there with ratios of 3:1 and you have done your best. Would you care to share which schoold would you be moving onto.

                        Cheers to all
                        Raynreg
