I know Agape has a Student care and childcare near Yew Tee Primary School. Can check that out.

Yes, I have checked out both the student care and childcare. General impressions are quite ok. Just a little unused to the student care being at the basement, while the child care fees are rather steep - $1,000/mth.

      hi chwoo,

I visited agape many months ago but thought that their fees are below $1k. is it covering additional fees as well? 🆒

Wow...that's indeed very steep. I'm also taking some time off work next week to have a look at a few centres and decide then. By the way, the last thing i heard about Yew Tee pri is the school uniform will be changed w.e.f. next year, which is good. Shoes remain as black though.

        Hi VinEveShan,

What will be the new uniform. Is it still maroon n cream? 🆒

Not sure about the colour though…looks like they’ll only reveal to the parents at the orientation on Nov, unless you’ve friends whose kids are in the school now - can get some info from them. I actually wrote in to the admin manager of the school but has yet to receive a reply.

Is anyone, whose child is going to YTPS next year, putting your kids in any student care centre?

                  [Hi xuan2nov3,

Thanks! yes, my child will be in YTPS next year. Your child is in P2 this year? Is P2 group according to ability or mixed? which P1/p2 class is better? :rahrah:[/quote]

                  Hi ksunflower

My child is in p3. The whole class of p1 will be promoted to p2, only p3 will be regrouped based on results of p2, and there will be banded classes based on some 40:60 or last year's 50:50 ratio.

The uniform will change but I hv ot seen the design yet too, hopefully it's something more comfortable.

My child is in P1 this year. The students were grouped according to orientation groups and the groups remain all the way till 2nd or 3rd week of January. I believe this is becos the school needs to indentify those who are really weak.

As for the school uniform, I am not sure about the colour but according to the notification letter, it will be culottes for the girls. As for the top, if I remember correctly, it will be Polo T Shirts.

                    Hope all these helps...

You mean after the 3rd week, the kids will be re-grouped again into different classes? My daughter will be in P1 next year.....

                        Hi Dora Dora,

Yes but not all students will change group. In fact, the changes are minimum. They will identify those who genuinely need more help than others. However, I am not sure if they will group all these identified ones in the same class or spread across the classes.

Anyway, the grouping of the children according to ability will only start when they are in P3. Hence, do not worry too much while they are in P1 and 2.

                        Regards
                        Shay
