      Jennifer:
Apart from cold drinks, sweet stuff, do you continue with cow's milk?

      Hi Jennifer,
I never stopped cow's milk for my boy. Not sure whether this could be a reason for his bad cough in years back...
      Jennifer:
Recently I brou my younger boy to a centre doing bioresonance therapy (package treatment $300/- for assessment and 3 treatments). After the assessment, the therapist told me my boy is allergic to wheat, corn, gluten, beef, sugar, dust, cow's milk, nitrates in cured meat, etc

We then eliminated cow's milk, wheat, gluten from his diet and replaced these with powdered brown rice and rice crispy/crackers made with rice.
It seems to help with removing the cough.
Wow... that's quite a long list of allergic items. That's not easy to avoid food containing sugar. And dust is everywhr. Does your boy always has bad cough? Or juz mild cough whenever he has cough? Fr your info here, I think your boy is doing quite ok.
      Jennifer:
We went to Sentosa Siloso yesterday. He played in the pool for an hour, next thing I heard was the cough again. Cant detect the phlegm, am unsure if it is nasal prob.

He was with another TCM physician doing tuina since Jan to May. Everyone compliment him for a loud voice. So shouldn't be lung weak? He does not get breathless after a run either.

The moment we reached home, I gave him a dose of the Ma Kuang TCM. Now did not hear him cough.
My boy never showed shortness of breath after a run. He juz easily fell sick with asthmatic cough. I have requested him to see lung specialist in KKH bcoz he always caught bad cough almost every mth in yrs back.

I think your boy shouldn't be lung weak. May be he just has allergy cough. And what is that dose of Ma Kuang TCM? Is it a standby medicine? Sorry... I juz curious.
      Jennifer:

We have been seeing this Ma Kuang physician like fortnightly becos his cough comes and goes. Like never ending.

The bioresonance therapy last session is this week. Hubby and elder son have expressed their doubts about this type of treatment.

So, should I stop Ma Kuang and this therapy and go to
      中华医院?

      Very headache.
My boy never treated by Ma Kuang before. So no comments about their service. How long has your boy been visited Ma Kuang? Any improvement? I think if after a long period say 6 to 9 mths you still unable to see improvement, then may be you can try 中华医院. If you can see the improvement, then better stick to the same physician.

      JMHO... Cheers... 🙂

        GreenQ,

He catches common colds/cough very easily. Like someone in the family is sick, soon it would be his turn 😢 And the condition develops very quickly into massive amt of mucus or chesty cough. It would take him at least two weeks to recover, only to be sick again in the 3rd week. :stupid:

Sugar avoidance is very difficult, so the guideline is less than 10 gm per serving. Luckily we are not into sweet stuff, so he does not feel too deprived 😉

The medicine from Ma Kuang is not standby type. I brought him to see the phyician the moment I heard the slight cough. The physician saw reddness in the back of the throat. It's the same prob that comes and goes in these few months. She said my boy's body constitution is very sensitive to changes in weather, hence the recurrence of cough.

We went for the last session of bioresonance therapy this morning, now he has not coughed. We have signed for another 5 treatments @ $300/- The therapy said she would be continuing with the desensitization and to strengthen his immunity system. 🙏 it works.

If it still does not help stop the recurrence of cough, I am definitely going to try the one you recommend.

          Hi Jennifer,
I can understand very well for your feelings to deal with your boy's cough! Coz I have been gone through same phases as what you have mentioned, like he wld be the next person to fall sick if someone ard him was sick. And changes of weather will have impact to his cough too...etc... :stupid:

You juz need to have more patience. I believe your boy will be fully recovered one day as my son! And soon!

Now, my youngest son is stronger than the other 2 siblings! He only fell sick once in the past 6 mths, while the other 2 siblings fell sick for 2 times. And they had mild cough only. I used to be very worried if I noticed their classmate who was sick but still attending to school. But not now... much relax now.

Personally I think this natural bioresonance therapy is a very good healing method. Better than taking any medicine. How long does it take for each treatment? Sorry, I juz curious to understand more abt this method...

Wish your boy will be fully recovered very soon.

          Cheers... 🙂

I went through what mummies here has gone through.

I swear by TCM.To see the results, one must have patient and of course go to a reliable phy that is suitable for the chid.

My son goes for tuina since he was a few months old till now, four years old, on a weekly basis.Initially was for cough, flu etc, subsequently its for mainteance.I always joke with my yishi that m buying "insurance"for my boy as I just dont like the feelings of he turns very crochy and very sick if he is really down with it…

Right, hope all the mummies find a good remedy for the child and in the pink of health.

            Cheers

              Sorry for the late reply.

I went to this centre http://www.naturalpath.com.sg for the bioresonance treatment. Saw the advert they put up in the ST. So far, my boy had 4 treatments for his food allergies (cow's milk, lactose, wheat, gluten and dust) and one treatment for virus (he caught a cold again). The indices for these substances have been decreased significantly. We will only know if this treatment works when the therapist gives the go ahead to try these food substances again. The treatment for the virus works well too as he did not develop into any serious coughing bout.

I must share this very funny part about the virus treatment. The therapist put a metal chip in one of the beaker of the machine, then ran the test programme. At the end of the programme, she gave us the chip to be pasted two fingers behind the belly button. When I told hubby and elder son, both of them scoffed at the effectiveness of such treatment. Coincidently, it seemed to work.

Each treatment is an hour. There is this other centre BRT doing this treatment too. This link http://www.bioresonancetherapy.com.sg/brt-treatments/bioresonance-therapy.html explains the therapy.

This therapy aside, I think my boy also needs some tonics to boost his immunity system at the same time. The 许医师 at 中华医院大巴窑总院 that you hv seen, does he work in some other clinics? Toa Payoh is quite far for us.

                Hi Jennifer,
Thx for sharing for this bioresonance treatment! Good to know there is another alternative for us. Hope it works well on your boy.

I am not sure whether 许医师 works in some other clinics. I will try to ask him and get back to you when we visit him next time...

                Cheers... 🙂

I have asked The 许医师 at 中华医院大巴窑总院 the same question, he said he will not tell me as they are not allow to do so 🙂

BTW, could you share about how much each session? I have spent alot on the PD, each visit cost not less than $300 😞

It's a package type. Our 1st package was $300 (assessment + 3 treatments), 2nd package is $300 (5 treatments). Each session is an hour.

I forgot to mention that once started on the treatment for a particular food allergy, the patient must avoid eating that particular food until the treatment is completed.

Since we started, my boy has not been drinking cow's milk, eating bread/cakes. We replace the beverage with brown rice milk (needed some day to get used to it) and eat rice-based biscuits/cereals.

The treatment session also requires the child to sit still/lie still for at least an hour. Quite difficult, must distract the child from moving around too much.

Thank you Jennifer. The method is interesting. I am seeing 许医师 now, today is the 3rd visit. Actually i can see some improvement already, hope she will recover fully with TCM.
